BMW Z4 is updated but very lightly. As the competition on the market increased with the recently introduced Porsche Cayman and fresh new Mercedes SLK, aging BMW decided to update its roadster.
However, the update is so light you may not realise the difference between the normal Z4 and updated Z4!
BMW ConnectedDrive features are extended, such as high beam assistant, internet based information systems, real time traffic information, automatic collision notification system are available.
And the starting engine is now 2-lt turbo petrol engine with 154 HP and 240 Nm of torque. And can be ordered with 8-speed automatic gearbox. Z4 sDrive35is with 335 HP is now only available with 7-speed double clutch automatic gearbox (DCT).
And there concierge services with the BMW ConnectedDrive system, but why do you need a concierge service, when you can find everything from Google. In my opinion, concierge services may attract only specific type of customers. Nowadays, we can sort out everything from internet very quickly.
And sDrive does not mean something special, it is the new branding strategy of BMW to differentiate rear-wheel drive models from the all-wheel drives.
