Pink Fiat 500 with Pink Driving Shoes

Since I saw the pink driving shoes in GQ Magazine by Kurt Geiger, I started to wonder which car fits best with those shoes. And I mentioned this problem in my previous post! Unfortunately, there are not many cars which are offering pink as an optional colour.
Fiat 500 is one of my favourite cars; I really like it driving character, its design, practicality and good price. And now this car has a mutual interest with Kurt Geiger’s pink driving shoes! Finally today I read that Fiat 500 is offering limited edition of Pink colour! That’s very cool, I finally found a car which is fitting with pink driving shoes :) Unfortunately, it is limitied edition and you can only order from internet!
Unlike other limited editions, Fiat is offering this 500 with a reasonable price which allows many people to afford but only very limited will have the chance to drive it! Eventually; pink driving shoes are available with pink Fiat 500, have fun :)

Lexus: MUJI Edition

I cannot agree more with Top Gear about Lexus and its achievement in perfection in dullness! I don’t think that any kid on this earth would have never imagined to drive a Lexus, if someone did, she/he never saw a Ferrari yet. Lexus is very equipped, very safe, very environmental, very green with its 1980s style green digital watch, very senseless, very boring, boring and more boring. I am not saying Lexus is a bad car but there is no reasonable instinction to buy a Lexus. You should say “I want a stupid huge V8 hybrid and save the planet” and there you go, it is Lexus LS600h.
Also for long years, Lexus had accidental similarities with German cars. Probably designers dreamed the same cars in different parts of the world. The things are different in US; American people love Lexus! Lexus was made for US and they achieved the status for Lexus. However, in Japan and Europe nobody cares Lexus! Actually in Japan, Japanese people don’t prefer Lexus as it is domestic car :)
However, everything from Japan is not boring :) Hopefully! As I mentioned earlier, Japanese brand Muji is a very good example of minimalist design philosophy in various goods with no-brand strategy. As I can see, Muji is doing better in Europe than Lexus. And I started to think; why Lexus does not offer any Muji Editions of their boring cars! For example; Lexus LS600h Muji Edition. The interior will be designed by Muji’s designer instead of Lexus’s :) Most probably, it will look much better and they could have new customers.
Lexus needs this kind of marketing tactics to increase their competitive power in Europe. People cannot be impressed by digital green watch in here.

Buying Maserati is like buying uncomfortable and charming high heels for ladies

When I first saw the Masearti GranTurismo in London, I was shocked with its design. The aggressive look and curvely lines made it very unique. As its designer said, a car should both have feminine and muscular lines! And GranTurismo have them both. The front wheel arches are reflecting the female side and the aggressive front is reflecting the muscular side. When it is compared with rivals like Mercedes CL, Ferrari 612, Aston Martin DB9; GranTurismo can be considered as the best looking GT car! Its uniqueness does not end up in design. It has a very special automatic gearbox. GranTurismo S is equipped with double clutch high tech transmission and GranTurismo S Automatic is coming with a proper automatic gear box. And there is nothing unusual with these. The unusual thing is the new Automatic gearbox’s ability to handle high revs. As the automatic gearboxes are transferring energy by hydraulic, it has some limitations. Automatic gearboxes cannot able to handle more than 6800rpm but Maserati did something very unusual and increased this physical limit to 7200rpm. Even the Mercedes McLaren SLR cannot be achieved this performance!
Despite the exquisite design of GranTurismo it has some drawbacks. Matter of fact, Maserati does not have very good reputation in reliability. During last couple of years, Maserati’s quality significantly improved but the brand still has that image. In addition; when the GranTurismo first introduced, it had a very funny problem! When you put into reverse with its lazy gearbox which is not available anymore, the car first moves forwards and moves reverse! It was mentioned in CAR Magazine and it was really pity. They did great design and the transmission doesn’t even know the meaning of reverse. Hopefully, Italian threw that gearbox into trash and it is all history.
Despite its reliability question marks in my mind, I would definitely buy this car if I had the money! I know buying a Maserati is risky, may be this risky character of Maserati is more attractive than other cars. If this blog is being read by a lady, I can summarize the issue like this; Maserati is a hurting high heels (Picture; Giuseppe Zanotti) but it looks great and you look great. You know that, if you buy those shoes, you will suffer but you bought it already ;) I remember this from my friend Andri. She liked a high heels and they were not very comfortable and she bought them :) I would do the same with GranTurismo, but the minor problem is the price tage ;)

Chanel – Aston Martin

I only owned one thing from Chanel and it was fragrance Allure. But it was not that extremely popular like other brands, it had something different! Since the Chanel introduced to fashion market, Chanel did not focus on agressive marketing strategy to extend the brand to extremey edge. They were offering clothes to women and they still many offer cloths to women. For marketing and financial perspective, Armani is doing better as they offer Armani brand in different segment and for different target groups. On the other hand, targeting many groups has the hidden danger of killing being exclusive! We can see Louis Vuitton hand bag in anywhere on this planet and I cannot say LV is very exclusive brand. Also there are not many Chanel stores like LV stores! However, you don’t notice Chanel bag or anything with Chanel very easily, unless you know Chanel quite well! Only people who know Chanel can notice you! And you should a female to have this privilege.
There is similar brand to Chanel in automotive industry, Aston Martin. Like Chanel, Aston Martin suffered financial problems, lack of sufficient demand but never focused on revealing an SUV (except concept vehicle) or extending product range which are not affiliated with Aston Martin. You can recognize Aston Martin easily from its exhaust noise but not everyone can understand this. Aston Martin is a noticeable car with its magnificent design like Chanel but some people cannot recognize the brand very easily unlike Ferrari. Also you cannot buy Aston Martin from everywhere, it has quite limited dealer network. And people who want to be really exclusive prefer Aston Martin, knowing that a Ferrari can offer better technology or a Porsche offers better comfort and safety. That’s the thing which keeps unique brand alive!

Louis Vuitton and Mercedes G Class

Mercedes G Class is one of my favourite cars on earth. Most of you may have never heard of Mercedes G or you did not notice it on street. This vehicle can be considered as the grandfather of SUVs! It is still on production since 1979 and exterior design of this vehicle did not change significantly. You can buy 1979 G Class and replace some parts and it will look 2010! For me, G Class is a really cool car. It never changed its character and did not change its face. I know, Range Rover have similar characteristics but Range Rover changed its face many times and it is on everywhere! I do love Range Rover but I don’t find it cool like a G Class.
Despite these exquisite advantages of G Class, it is a nerve breaking car to drive. This car is equipped with three differential locks, which you cannot find in any other competitor. Front, centre and rear; when you use them all, you don’t need any ESP or ASR. Actually, system disengages all these things when you engage differential locks. As the steering is not light, doors are not easy to close, there is no sign of aerodynamics, handling is designed for off road, there is not front parking sensors (actually with those bumpers you don’t one!) and many more things are not available which can be found in any normal Mercedes. However, if you only have a compass and you don’t want to follow the road, this is the very few vehicles which could go straight to your destination by avoiding any natural obstacle. The main differentiating point of G Class is; its production. It is still made by hand in Austria. Yes, Mercedes does not mention this but it is one of the very rare vehicles which are built by hand.
However, this vehicle is very popular in US, especially in celebrities. I don’t know why but they love to drive G 55 AMG and bear the difficulties of G Class! Because, it is cool ;)
Now I want to talk about the Louis Vuitton. I don’t need to give information about LV, we all know it. If you have lots of money, you will buy one whatever they sell! Their marketing strategies which are targeting every living organism on earth. This helps us to see LV more than Toyota pickups in anywhere! For many people, LV is a luxury or snob hand bag manufacturer and this is kind of true. But LV did not start business with hand bags, they started with luggage. Luggage which did not change much for many years like Mercedes G Class. They are still made by hand, cornered, may be heavier than Samsonite. Those cornered hard luggage are keeping LV brand exclusive, if I had money to buy a luxury luggage I would not buy modern LV, I would go for the classic one. Because, that luggage reflects the LV’s character. Like, Mercedes G Class is reflecting pure off roader and also success of Mercedes in automotive.
If you could afford to buy Mercedes G Class, please try to buy old style LV luggage. Like G Class, you cannot see both of them very often and nobody really know them very well. But they are the best one ;)

Marc Jacobs has a café, Porsche Design or Ferrari should have one also

Today I read on Vogue’s website, fashion brand Marc Jacobs opened a café in Milan, Italy. This café will be reflect the brand design elements and they will have chance to taste Marc Jacobs! This is not something new, Marc Jacobs just joined the café trend like other brands. However, when I read this news an idea came to my mind. Why Ferrari or Porsche Design (PD) haven’t opened a café yet? Especially PD has everything for a café (even the construction can be done by PD power drill!), they offer coffee machine, toaster! And this could also create an opportunity for new products like cups, spoons, may be even sugar!The case is same with Ferrari also, it has lots of fans around the world and they are ready to drink a coffee in Ferrari café. Actually Ferrari offers many things with Ferrari badge, they don’t even need to contact with third party company to supply things for café!

For Porsche Design and Ferrari, this is a new business area. Automotive business is not just selling cars or selling pens, they should also provide opportunity to experience the brand in a different way. Please don’t try to produce coffee in car factory ;)

Porsche Design for H&M

When we will see this slogan in advertisements? H&M worked with Jimmy Choo, Comme des Garcons, Karl Lagerfeld, Sonia Rykiel, Stella McCartney, Viktor and Rolf, Roberto Cavalli and Elio Fiorucci. Every year H&M offers a special collection from a very luxury fashion designer and people rush into H&M stores to grab one of them. Offering limited edition clothes, shoes and accessories boost their sales and strength their brand image, also helps to improve brand royalty. This strategy became a part of H&M’s marketing strategy and every year, there is a new brand to offer.
As H&M worked with nine different fashion brands (may be more), I am expecting to see Porsche Design for next year. Why not? I love Porsche Design and I want to buy them with reasonable price :) All of those brands are luxury and their fanatics had chance to buy the reasonable priced ones by H&M, like ladies are buying Jimmy Choo from H&M. I know Porsche Design is working with Adidas but they could do an exception! I know that, if Porsche Design will be in H&M its brand image and target group may not fit with this picture. The others managed this very well, I think Porsche Design can do it also ;)

Design my life, Porsche Design

Porsche Design is one of my favourite brands. It is giving opportunity to feel Porsche every moment in your life. From pencils to shoes, there are many many things made by Porsche Design. As I mentioned earlier, it also has some “interesting” products like Kitchen and Power Drill. However these products do not prevent to buy Porsche Design, actually they are emerging motivation to buy a proper Porsche but it is a bit harder than buying a pencil :)
And while I was looking at fashion magazines, I noticed something. There is always a section about combination of clothes, shoes and accessories. But there is no combination about what to wear with a car; so, I prepared one from Porsche Design. I am sure that, when you buy a Porsche, you will be confused what to wear, what to buy with your new Porsche! Now, you don’t need to worry anymore ;) If you have a Porsche, you should have a Porsche life style :) You can find luggage with 911 Turbo wheels, pencils from block of aluminium, shoes are designed to drive Porsche !

Burberry is like a F1 Safety Car !

Burberry is one of the very well known British fashion brand and admired by many people. Burberry became a reflection of social status, reflection of life style. Some people cannot live without Burberry, it became a part of their body. However there are some people annoyed by seeing too much Burberry in every where. They say, Burberry lost its exclusivity by appearing too much. This is one of the Achilles’ heels in luxury; limit the production and keep it exclusive or satisfy the demand and lost the spirit. Burberry is like a light which signals in every condition and in everywhere; actually this is my idea, you may not agree with me.
Mercedes SL 63 AMG Formula1 Safety car is one of the coolest car for car enthusiast, it has everything we are looking for. It’s very powerful, upgraded suspension and brakes, it is bridling the F1 cars on circuit and it has amazing flashing lights all over the car. Of course, you cannot drive this car in daily condition with all these lights flashing. Even if you don’t open those flashing lights, you will catch all the attention, if you open those flashing lights, you will grab any kind of attention. So, it looks better on circuit.
Burberry is like safety car; it look very elegant and exquisite in fashion shows and on Mayfair, London. But when you see the store, all that spirit is disappearing! Burberry store in Istanbul, there are more than six Burberry is written all over the store, even on the side of stairs outside of the store. It is flashing like a safety car, I am here! May be for that reason, I could not like this brand ever. However; Paul Smith, Armani, Boss, Farhi, Kenzo or Bottega Veneta is not that flashing and catching my attention more. Of course, all these marketing strategies are targeting different target groups and have different goals. But will I ever drive SL63 AMG F1 Safety Car on street? I don’t think so!

The Highest Lamborghini

I am sure that some of you think that, this article is about Lamborghini’s new SUV or it is about the first sport SUV LM002. As the LM002 is the first sport SUV, Lamborghini likes to introduce new products to market. And until now, LM002 was the tallest Lamborghini ;)
Today while I was searching for Porsche Design shoes, I found out something very interesting! Lamborghini High Heels with carbon fibre heels. These shoes look like, Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera is exposed to radiation and turned into shoes. As you could see from the picture, they look same as Gallardo. And hopefully they are concept, this means you cannot buy them from stores. I am pretty sure that some ladies are sad with this news :)
From a different perspective; these shoes are reflecting Lamborghini design very accurately. But, from the other perspective (womens’ side), I have never met a woman who want to buy a Lamborghini High Heels! Properly there is no women exist who want to buy them. If they produce these shoes, most probably it will cost fortune and ladies could find better brands with better looking shoes with less handling :)
So, we could say that if you want to design a product to women; try to avoid carbon fibre and cars ;)
Superleggera means, super light. I am pretty sure that shoes are very light with their carbon fibre heels!
Important notice: My friend Gulgun liked this shoes and she told that “she could buy them”. So there is a demand Lamborghin, go produce it :)
