My iPhone 6 Doesn’t Bend!

My iPhone 6 doesn’t bend! Yes, that’s true, my Apple iPhone 6 does not bend. I am sure you would be  wondering why? And the my answer is very simple, I don’t try to bend it.

I do know that, many people experienced a traumatic moments with their iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus phones when they were bended. I cannot imagine the shocking moment, when you realise that your brand new iPhone does not look okay!

However, I am not shocked with this. The main reasons for my calm approach is, iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are made from aluminium and this material is not well-known for its strength. Also, why you would put your iPhone into your back pocket? We are not living in 1990s! There are not more Ericsson 388 or Nokia 6110! iPhone and other devices are really fragile, they are not designed for brutality. But, still iPhone can bend! I don’t deny this fact.

The interesting point with the bend gate with iPhone is the YouTube videos. I watched most of the YouTube videos including the Unbox Therapy channel. Their common point; everyone is trying to bend the iPhone 6 with too much power. Why they do it? Very simple! Advertisement money.

Just check the iPhone 6 bending videos, they all have lots of advertisements and those advertisements bring real money to channel owners, such as Unbox Therapy. Before the bend gate incident, I have never watched that channel. However, the bend gate boosted the Unbox Therapy channel’s popularity. Also, extended their bank accounts. The bending video is watched by more than 50-million people! You do the calculation.

Additionally, the way they bend the iPhones were not scientific. May be the Unbox Therapy team is a member of a gym for last ten years! But the video fuelled the curiosity. Apple did not respond well to this issue, and more people posted similar videos.

At the end, iPhone 6 and 6 Plus can bend but why you would bend a smart phone on purpose? Just show more love to your iPhone!

Slow Motion Tea from iPhone 6 | Life in Slow Motion

This is my first life in slow motion video, pouring tea in slow motion. I recorded the video with the new Apple iPhone 6 in slow motion video mode. It looked really really nice, way better than my expectation. And I will keep recording new slow motion videos.

Mac vs. PC Advertisement | Get A Mac

Mac vs. PC. (Mac as known as Apple!) This dilemma was for decades, people fought for it, argued for it and the result is? They all have an iPhone. I was supporting the PC with no particular reason since I was very small like ten years old. However, my relationship with the PC or Windows could not ended for so long. I had to divorce from the Windows and shift to Mac or Apple. The transaction was seamlessly but I felt like I was cheating on Windows.
Anyway, forget my pointless text here is the Mac vs. PC advertisements of Apple (Get A Mac Campaign). All of them in one video!

What Happened Apple CarPlay?

Yesterday Apple announced their future technologies but they did not mention about CarPlay. Did it fail? Or Apple is trying to cover up the CarPlay and trying us to forget it?
The reality behind the Apple CarPlay is, automotive industry cannot make a radical change like this. It takes a very long time to adapt all their in-car entertainment and navigation systems to be compatible with the Apple CarPlay. Unfortunately, the car industry does not reveal new vehicle every year and in Europe average product lifecycle of a car is 7-year!
But that cannot be an excuse to avoid a new technology, but the adaptation is costly and may not bring large amount of customers from their rival brands just for CarPlay feature.
As a result of Apple’s rapid product change strategy and automotive industry’s 7-year lifecycle resulted with the availability of CarPlay only with Ferrari FF, Mercedes CLA and Chevrolet Sonic. And I am not sure if you can purchase CarPlay in Europe as well!
And I did some background checks for the CarPlay from various car manufacturers and the result is? No. They all know the technology but that’s all, no production available to public.

Ferrari with Apple CarPlay

Apple CarPlay is the latest feature from iPhone and available with your next Ferrari. I think the second part of the sentence hurts a bit. The CarPlay feature of iPhone literally, transfers your iPhone screen to your cars navigation screen. And you can use some of the apps on your iPhone through that screen. Quite cleaver and best way to avoid complicated car user interface. More applications will be CarPlay friendly, so don’t worry.
However, if you are gadget geek and want to play with this feature, you have to buy a Ferrari for now. But don’t worry; Mercedes, Jaguar, Hyundai, Honda and Volvo will be the first car manufacturers to offer this service with their vehicles. The list does not finish here; BMW, Chevrolet, Ford, Kia, Land Rover, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Opel, Citroen, Peugeot, Subari, Suzuki and Toyota. But there are no brands involved from Volkswagen Group. This is quite interesting!

Product Review: New Apple iPad Mini Retina | Does It Worth to Buy?

New Apple iPad Mini Retina. Does it really worth to buy? Definitely, Yes! I wasn’t a fan of iPad Mini since the beginning, I was thinking the full size iPad would be the best experience but I was wrong. First of all, before iPad Air, iPads were heavy and not that small to fit everywhere. That’s why many people including me, started to use their iPads less and less. The weight of device was the major issue and it wasn’t smaller than a laptop. So, larger screen mobile phones and ultrabooks or Macbook Air started to replace the unique place of iPads.
However, the new iPad Mini Retina changed everything. It offers the same level of pixel-per-inch level with iPhone 5S, 326 ppi! The screen of the iPad Mini Retina is very sharp, you can see every single detail so easily. Also, Mini Retina is way lighter than a full size iPad, only 330gr! And this makes it easier to carry around everywhere and you don’t need to sacrifice a huge space for the device.
The performance of the iPad Mini Retina is at the same level with iPad Air. The same processor, same graphics performance, the same amount of RAM. So, this makes the Mini Retina a very good alternative. Also, you can read newspapers, magazines, website without any problem. The Retina display gives you a very clear image.
If you wish to have a fresh start with iPad, Mini Retina should be the best option.

Upgradable Mobile | Phonebloks

Upgradable mobile phone, Phonebloks? This sounds quite impossible at the moment. We cannot replace the parts of our mobile phone and improves its performance or fix the broken part. However, thanks to Apple and Samsung, they introduce each an upgraded version of your mobile phone. And literally, the new one is basically the same one you already own. This is how they make money.
However, a company called Phonebloks founded by Dave Hakkens from Netherlands designed a module mobile phone. Actually, that’s a project now and they will reveal more news on 29th October. Their idea emerged from the thrown away mobiles because they had a broken part. At the moment, mobile phones designed not to be repaired! If we can repair or upgrade them who is going to buy iPhone 5S or Samsung Galaxy S4? At the same time, our addiction to technology and cannot utilise their full potential generate a huge amount of waste. And mobile phones are not that easy to recycle!
So, Phonebloks offer opportunity to upgrade your mobile, change the specification, fix the broken part. Actually, you will have your bespoke or customised mobile phone. If you want a 12-megapixel camera, you will replace the camera. If you want a longer battery life and never use bluetooth, you will remove the bluetooth and replace the battery with a larger one. And all these parts will be sold their online store.
I think the concept of Phonebloks emerged from the desktop computers. Desktop computers offers indefinite number of customisation and you can replace any broken part or upgrade it.
If a very big company is supporting this project, we may see the Phonebloks quite soon! And I think Intel might be supporting. Just watch the video and you will see the Intel Quad Core 4 brand! This sounds very responsible because, Intel wants some share from mobile phone industry and capture the market of ARM!
And I am sure the fanatics of Android and Apple will be against to this idea as usual :)

IOS 7 Real Clock Moving

Apple IOS 7 was the biggest news last week! I still cannot understand why we are obsessed for a mobile operation system. I still remember the global launch of Microsoft Windows 95 on 24th August, 1995. Microsoft managed to create the same sensation like IOS but never managed to kept the momentum and Apple took the role and turned IOS into a sensation.

And IOS 7 is the first IOS after Steve Jobs. Many people, like me never liked some of its features. However, there are some very clever bits. Such as, the clock app icon is a real clock that moves!

This is what I call attention to details!

Smartwatch | Nissan Nismo vs. Pebble, Apple iWatch, Sony, Samsung

Nissan Nismo smart watch is something really extraordinary for automotive industry. Due to heritage of the automotive business, they love to introduce digital technology after half a decade later. We still don’t have HD cameras on cars! Or the board computer interface is like first generation of IOS. Automotive companies are very good making thing from metal and create combustion inside chambers. However, smartwatch business is something extraordinary and slippery.
Smartwatch business became popular with Pebble watch on Kickstarter website and managed to generate $10-million in less than a month. However, Pebble is pretty slow at manufacturing. After the Pebble, Sony introduced a smart watch, Samsung introduced a smart watch literally with no battery life and we were expecting to see iWatch but not yet.
So the smartwatch business will be the hot topic of future and will be ignored by automotive companies because what is the point. Actually, there is a very solid point. Cars are gadgets, people are not looking forward to smell burning clutch or use manual gearbox in a start-stop traffic for three hours. People want to have the same comfort and innovation on cars similar to their iPhone.
And Nissan got the point! They created a concept smartwatch called Nismo. It is a great gadget. It collects the data from your car and packs them in a very beautiful way. And there are lots of opportunities for smart watches to engage with cars. Such as; service interval, fuel level, where you parked and more. However, will you buy a Nissan watch? No! Will you buy a Ferrari smartwatch? May be. Will you buy a Porsche Design smartwatch? More than may be. Will you buy an iWatch from Apple? Definitely yes!
So there are two ways for car companies. They either make their own smart watch and create a dedicated team to develop that gadget to keep with Apple and Samsung, or offer apps for smart watches! My personal opinion, wearable car brand has a very limited scope and cannot compete with Apple or Samsung. I really will not fancy to wear a Range Rover watch. Range Rover is a watch brand or technology brand. It is a luxury off road vehicle brand. However, I wouldn’t say no to Range Rover app on my iWatch or Pebble. However, if Porsche Design makes a smart watch, there might be some potential. Because, Porsche Design makes watches already.
Literally, car companies should focus on smartwatch apps. I know many people will say, this article is senseless, waste of time to read, smart watch app never offers the same feeling like driving a Honda S2000 and this goes forever. However, world has changed! Yes, there are still people, who love to burn clutch whilst making a donut with a Honda S2000 but it is minority. Otherwise, how Pebble can make $10-million? And I am sure that some of the investors of Pebble have a car!
However, I really appreciated the innovative product of Nissan, well done :)
