This is the last album from the show! I had lots of rubber on my face while taking those photos :)

And I cannot skip Ian Cook (Pop Bang Colour). He paints his work only using by remote cars and tyres!

Porsche, Ferrari: Merchandise Addiction

Today I wanted to share my own collection of “things”, which I bought from the car merchandise shops! I know all of these things are overpriced, because they have a car brand on them. Everyone knows this thing and everyone buys them! Actually, I couldn’t place my Porsche Design shoes, broken Ferrari Pit crew watch and Ferrari mug!

Many people usually say, there is no point to spend money on Porsche Design pen, Ferrari watch or Bentley iPad case! From one point of view, this is right. These products have higher prices due their brand, not based on their functionality. I totally understand this interpretation.

Frank Stephenson

A few hours ago, I found some interviews with Frank Stephenson on YouTube. If you don’t know Frank, I am sure you know his designs; BMW X5, Mini, Maserati MC12, Maserati Quattroporte, Ferrari F430, Ferrari 612, Fiat 500, McLaren MP4-12C and many other cars. In my opinions, he will be remembered as one of the most influential car designer in his era. Especially his interpretation of the new Mini and new Fiat 500 are the most remarkable cars of this century, and never getting old Quattroporte!

We will find more about him on these interviews. And additional information to his Wikipedia page, he stayed in Istanbul, Turkey for six years!

Ferrari 599XX: A Bit Faster

Ferrari revealed a relatively faster 599! If you find the 599XX slow, the hard-core version of 599GTB. Here you have the opportunity to own a faster 599, 599XX Evolution. Like the “slower” model, it is packed up with Formula 1 technology. Active rear wing and front splitter, two flaps in the rear open and close to adjust the down force on rear axle. This relatively faster model has extra 20PS and achieves to produce 750PS with 700nm torque.

Unfortunately, you cannot drive your relatively faster 599 on streets. It is offered by the Ferrari Corse Clienti and it is designed for tracks.

My opinion: Go for a 599 GTO, it is very fast and can be driven on the streets without any problem, also offers much better comfort than the XX Evolution.

Lancia with A New Face

Flash news from Ferrari! The legendary designer Lorenzo Ramaciotti is assigned to create a new design identify for Chrysler and Lancia. For those of you, don’t know the present situation: Ferrari is owned by Fiat, Chrysler and Lancia is also owned by Fiat; so they are under the same company.

Ramaciotti had significant design contributions on Ferrari F430, 550 Maranello and 612 Scaglietti. Based on these state of art beautiful cars, I can say one thing! In five-year time, we will see exquisite Lancia and Chrysler models on market. This revision on design identify will definitely increase the market share of these two brands.

Just think about Kia five years ago and now! It will happen the same with Lancia and Chrysler as well.
