Ford Focus ST in Key West, USA

Ford Focus ST; Ford’s newest powerful hatchback car with lunatic power. And let’s forget Ford Focus and jump to bulls! In Spain, every year they release the angry bulls over crowds over the narrow roads of Pamplona in Spain. This angry bull game started around 14th century and unfortunately, they still do it. I really don’t like this thing at all. It is not pleasant to make animals angry and let them run over people.
Anyway, Ford Focus ST has a similar scenario to angry bulls in Pamplona in Spain. The new Focus ST has a very angry 2.0-lt turbo petrol engine (250 PS with overboost function 255 PS, 360 Nm with overboost function 366Nm of torque) and mated with unfortunately six-speed manual gearbox. (I still don’t understand Ford loves the manual gearbox so much. Even Kia offers double clutch automatic, please stop this manual gearbox obsessions, please!) Let’s go back to Ford Focus ST; Ford decided make a video of two angry Ford Focus STs running around the streets of Key West, USA. Hopefully, Focus STs are not running after people but I love the scenario, really creative.
I would definitely buy a Ford Focus ST, if it is offered with double clutch automatic gearbox :)

New Ford F-150 Pick-Up Truck

Ford F150 Pick-up! If you are not living in USA, you probably never saw one or heard of it. However, if you are from USA, you know Ford F150 since you were born.
Ford F150 pick-up is one of the oldest pickup truck in the world. For long decades, F150 helped Ford to recover from financial crisis. Also, it is the benchmark of the market and each competitor designed their pick-up truck to compete with Ford F150. 
Even though I am not a fan of pick-up trucks, I really like the exterior design of Ford F-150!
And recently, Ford revealed the new F150! There are few things caught my attention. Ford SYNC connectivity system and MyFord Touch information system are available. Unfortunately, there are no diesel engines available but in USA, diesel is not popular like in Europe! Hopefully, Ford America now features the European technology called EcoBoost.
Here are the engine options for Ford F-150. Unfortunately, all these engines are petrol powered and cannot offer the same level of torque from a diesel engine. As I mentioned before, diesel engine market is totally different in USA than Europe.
3.7-lt V6 306 PS and 376 Nm of torque
3.5-lt EcoBoost V6 370 PS and 569 Nm of torque
5.0-lt V8 with 360 hp (268 kW / 360 PS)
6.2-lt V8 with 416 PS and 588 Nm of torque

Ford Focus ST available in UK

Ford Focus ST arrived to UK with the price tag of £21,995. That’s what you are looking forward to hear. However, I am bit surprised with the design. Especially the front look! New Ford Focus ST has a totally different and distinctive front look rather than the existing Ford Focus range.
I know the reason why they made it like this, to differentiate the car. However, Ford always designed the Focus ST as a more aggressive car. This new Ford Focus ST does not look that aggressive. It looks a bit silent, peaceful, calm but not aggressive. Design is a very subjective matter and we all see how it will sale in future.
New Ford Focus ST is powered by a 2-lt EcoBoost petrol engine produces 250 PS of power with six-speed manual (I wish it was a double clutch automatic). Also features, Torque Steer Compensation and three-stage electronic stability programme. And only 169 CO2 emission level! You can have new Ford Focus ST with estate version as well (I didn’t like it)!

New Audi A3

New Audi A3, I totally forgot to upload the photos. When the Audi revealed the previous A3 in 2003, A3 was the best-looking car on market. The front look and interior was totally set a new benchmark for the market. I can still clearly remember, how people were rushing into A3 in 2003 and in following years.
And now, new Audi A3 is revealed but it didn’t create the same sensation like the previous A3. Its exterior and interior is better but it is not ground breaking. Actually, Audi did not wish to reveal a radical design change to scare customers and stick on the existing concept. Therefore, new Audi A3 will not be like the previous model. I am not criticizing, this happened with Ford Focus as well. When a company sets a benchmark so high, it is really hard to improve or increase it again with the new product. It looks really well-made and nice but, I still go for Alfa Romeo Giulietta!
Engine options are; petrols are 1.2-lt 105 PS, 2-lt 211 PS and diesels are 1.6-lt 105 PS, 2-lt 180 PS. Don’t worry, new engines will be available soon!

New Kia cee’d vs World!

New Kia cee’d, many of you will say this “come on, Kia !?!” Yes, I am writing about new Kia cee’d. Because, in last five years Kia had changed itself totally from the scratch! I am very serious about this, starting from their design philosophy to their head office interior design. Everything in Kia has changed! Therefore, Kia cee’d is worth to write :)
Honestly, I never thought that, one day I write these following sentences. New Kia cee’d has the best front-exterior design on its segment, it is so well designed I can compare with Alfa Romeo Giulietta without any regret. Actually, Kia has a way better-looking interior design than the rest of its competitors. Such as; Ford Focus, Volkswagen Golf, Alfa Romeo Giulietta.
Kia cee’d improvements are not limited the design, Kia cee’d also offers new engines and transmissions. New 1.4-lt (98 PS) and 1.6-lt (133) petrol engines, 1.4-lt (89 PS) and 1.6-lt (126 PS) diesel engines. In addition, there is a new double clutch automatic gearbox option. Also, there is an option of 10-way power adjustable driver’s seat in Kia cee’d. The option list goes forever, actually Kia cee’d seems to turn into a German car with this list! Don’t worry new Kia cee’d has an independent rear suspension that will improve the handling and the comfort!
I can clearly say new Kia Cee’d will be a strong competitor in a short time of period!

Porsche 918 Spyder with Electric Power

Porsche 918 Spyder, this new Porsche will take the space after Carrera GT left the production. Porsche 918 Spyder is a totally new concept, unlike Carrera GT it does not run on only petrol power, Porsche 918 runs with electric power as well. There are two electric engines are placed in 918 Spyder, one in front axle (122 PS) and the other one in rear axle (108 PS) act as a hybrid and runs with petrol engine. Moreover, 4.6-lt V8 petrol engine is also present and produces 570 PS of power. The combination of electric and petrol engines deliver more than 770 PS of power to Porsche 918 with only 3lt/km of consumption level! In addition, batteries can be charged by plug-in but charging times are not announced yet. The top speed is more than 325 kph (200 mph).
918 Spyder will also feature adaptive rear-axle steering and fully adaptive aerodynamics. Rear-axle steering can be found in BMW cars today and improves the cornering and parking significantly. Adaptive aerodynamics will be similar to Bugatti Veyron’s adaptive rear spoiler; acting as an air brake and improve handling at high speed.
Porsche 918 Spyder will go into production end of September 2013 and first delivery will be before the end of 2013. Porsche will be using carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFPR) to manufacture 918 Spyder. This enables to reduce the weight significantly and improve consumption, better handling and also better safety in higher speeds. As a result of this new technologies, Porsche defines the 918 Spyder as minimum consumption and maximum of performance.
According to press release and technical information, Porsche 918 Spyder will create a path in super car segment. During 2000s; we saw Ferrari Enzo, Mercedes McLaren SLR, Porsche Carrera GT and Ford GT. Each of these cars developed and improved the meaning of super car, and in following years we will a new type of super car territory.

Ford B-Max Hologram Competition

Ford recently introduced the model B-Max. This is a new small MPV with a distinctive design. You might be thinking, why it is distinctive than its competitors? It has a rear hinged sliding doors. These doors may look a bit different, but definitely makes it easier to getting inside and outside. I found it very practical, not my style for ideal for families!

In order to celebrate the introduction of B-Max, Ford started a competition on internet. New Ford Tourneo and Transit

Ford revealed the new Tourneo and Transit during the CV Show 2012 in Birmingham. Unfortunately, I could not make it to press conference but here are some photos and also there was a Ford Ranger with 3.2-lt diesel engine!

Commercial Vehicle Show 2012, Birmingham

Today for the first time I visited a commercial vehicle show, Birmingham Commercial Vehicle Show 2012. Similar to passenger vehicle show, they were many new technologies and new vehicles, however I don’t have adequate knowledge to compare or judge the vehicles like I do it with passenger vehicles.

Commercial vehicles are totally different, even their marketing is different. People never buy a commercial vehicle because they want one, they buy it because they need one! This is the difference between passenger vehicle and commercial vehicles, wants and needs!

So, before the show finishes I highly suggest you to visit it. Because, you will see the new gorgeous Mercedes-Benz Actros, E-Vito (Electric powered), Unimog. Also, Citroën has a great show and one of the best stand in CV Show! You should see it. Ford revealed the new Tourneo and Transit, also they have a 3.2-lt diesel Ranger pick-up. Peugeot also features an electric vehicle. MAN features only two tow trucks but you can see how a diesel engine looks like from inside. Lastly, you can play a remote control LGV model and try to park in reverse! And there are lots of many industrial products that I am not interested at all. And some models!

Still, worth a visit :) It will be open until Thursday from 08:30 to 17:30

Ford Kuga Foot Operated Automatic Tailgate

Don’t miss understood the title, new Ford Kuga’s tailgate is not operated by kicking! You just need to kick your foot under beneath the rear bumper and tailgate automatically opens. Also if you repeat the same process it will automatically closes. Sounds great!
Probably people like me will play with this system non-stop all the time :) And don’t worry Ford developed fail-safe system for unintended operations by animals or anything run under the vehicle.
Probably you need to order the key-less access function, otherwise how can the car detects your behind the tailgate and kicking the bumper :)
