Montblanc Signature for Good Collection for UNICEF

Montblanc Signature for Good Collection is the long-term commitment of Montblanc to UNICEF. Signature for Good Collection will help to raise at least $1.5 million to UNICEF for improving the education for children. This campaign started on 1 March 2013 and will end on 31 March 2014.

Montblanc Patron of Arts 2013 Limited Editions

Montblanc Patron of Art 2013 Limited Edition, new collectors items by Montblanc. Patron of Art 2013 writing instruments are introduced to honour of Ludovico Sforza, Duke of Milan (1452 – 1508). Sforza was one of the most prominent patrons of Italian Renaissance and the protector of Leonardo Da Vinci. Therefore, Patron of Art 2013 has a special meaning more than a limited edition writing instrument.
There are two editions under Patron of Art 2013; Limited Edition 888 and Limited edition 4810.
Montblanc Limited Edition 888 is completed with solid gold fittings with contrasting majestic blue lacquer, and reflects the vibrant colour of the ceiling fresco, which is adorned with the Duke’s coat of arms. And the price for Limited Edition 888 is £6400, around €7485.
Montblanc Sterling Silver Limited Edition 4810 features a cap and barrel crafted from the black lacquer featuring Da Vinci’s intricate designs in silver. And solid gold nib of this edition is engraved with the Duke’s coat of arms. And the price of Limited Edition 4810 is £1765, around €2065.
Both of these writing instruments from Montblanc are exquisite, especially the precision in details and interpretation of Da Vinci’s designs create a very unique look. Limited Edition 4810 is definitely has a younger appear than the Limited Edition 888. Solid gold fittings of Limited Edition 888 generate more classic look.

Montblanc Valentine’s Day Necklace, the critical day is coming and if you are reading this post, you are a bit confused for the present. Hopefully, you are in the right place! Montblanc revealed their latest jewellery collection recently. It is a large heart in warm pink-gold colour and paired with stainless steel Montblanc star.
According to Montblanc, the heart represents the universal symbol of eternal love and the star represents Montblanc’s enduring passion for the craftsmanship and design. However, don’t use the second part! If you buy this gift and say the slogan together, it will not end up pretty well! Because, second part will be perceived as showing off or posing. So just stick with the heart :)

Montblanc New Collection at Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie 2013

Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) 2013, you might be struggling to understand what this is! I am not going to play word tricks and explain it straight away. SIHH is the international watchmaking show, similar to Geneva Motor Show. Instead of cars, they have watches, which cost more than many cars.
During the SIHH 2013, Montblanc revealed their new watch collection, seven new watches from the state-of-art handcrafted engineering. I will be posting each individual watch with technical details in following days, I don’t want to pour too much information to page.
Meantime, you can have a look to new Montblanc watch collection. My favourite is the TimeWalker Voyager UTC, the main reason for choosing this watch is the design. All other Montblanc watches are piece of art, however TimeWalker Voyager UTC is matching with my perception to design and looks younger than the others. Of course, this is subjective :)

Montblanc Albert Einstein Limited Edition: Don’t Miss It

Montblanc Albert Einstein Limited Edition! Montblanc recently revealed a new series of limited edition pens, Einstein. Don’t worry you don’t need to know about relativity in order to own one. However, you will understand the relativity when you understand the Montblanc Einstein series. 
There are two editions are available from Montblanc, 99 pieces and 3000 pieces. 99 pieces Montblanc Einstein is named as Einsteinium, which is a chemical element with the atomic number of 99. Montblanc Einsteinium is crafted from 750 solid white gold and the body of the pen is covered with the net with filigree overlay representing the space-time curve. And that look amazing, honestly Einsteinium is definitely one of the best Montblanc pens ever made. The clip of Einsteinium is bejewelled with 1,3 ct sapphire and the Montblanc icon is carved out of moonstone.
And the relatively expensive part, Montblanc Albert Einstein Limited Edition 99 piece cost £19,656!
However, there is a relatively cheaper one, Montblanc Albert Einstein Limited Edition 3000 pieces. Relatively cheaper and relatively more common! This edition refers to speed of light and platinum plated lines are inspired from the space-time curve. Platinum barrel of the cap is engraved with Einstein’s most famous scientific formula. And you may try to learn this formula by using this pen and probably consume a lot of ink during this task :)
And priced at £2,352!

Montblanc iPhone 5 Case is Available Now!

Montblanc finally released the case for the Apple’s latest phone, iPhone 5. I know many of you were waiting for this for quite long time. And now it is available on their online store in two different colours, grey and navy.

Montblanc iPhone 5 case is made from leather with Montblanc star placed in the front. And priced for £139 (€171 / $223). My experience with the iPhone 5, you really need a case to protect its sensitive anodised aluminium structure!
If you compare the price of Montblanc iPhone 5 case, it is not that expensive!

Montblanc Augment Reality Campaign in Harrods, London: David Geffen Art Gallery

Montblanc, Harrods and Aurasma. Montblanc is one of the best writing instruments company and probably the most luxurious one. Many people recognise the Montblanc from its White Star logo located on the top of each Montblanc pen. 
Harrods is another iconic brand in luxury, or it is the birthplace of luxury department store. There is only one Harrods store in the world and it is the most iconic and remarkable one. Unlike other brands, Harrods did not extend store locations and kept itself unique. 
And Aurasma, probably you never heard of it! It is the augment reality application for iPhone, iPad and Android phones. It is founded in UK two years ago and became a milestone of augment reality world. It is a very simple application; you install the application on your mobile then found a photo that is identified by Aurasma application and just place your phone in front of the photo. The augment show starts!
It is very easy to use and you will see photo or application or video on your mobile.
Montblanc opened an Art Gallery (David Geffen) by Aurasma application. First of all, you need to go to Harrods and find the Montblanc display. To find Montblanc, you need walk and walk in front of Harrods and just before the building finishes, you will the virtual art gallery on your left side. 
Secondly, you need to start the Aurasma app in your mobile and place your camera towards square picture that looks like a QR code. And please be patient, due to heavy mobile internet traffic on that area, it may take some time to load the art gallery on your mobile. There are sixteen artwork of David Geffen.
After that, you will see the art gallery in your mobile, and you can go around the gallery by touching forward and backward buttons. 
But don’t forget this is an augment reality, when you move your phone somewhere else, you will stop seeing the gallery, you need to keep your phone at the same position during your visit to virtual gallery. Unfortunately, tomorrow is the last day :(
To download Aurasma, you can either scan the QR code on the Harrods’s display or just search it on iTunes or Google Play.

Montblanc Worldsecond: Picturise Your Moments

Montblanc Worldsecond is photo project for everyone all around world. You don’t have to own a Montblanc to join :) But you need an iPhone or an Android phone for the application.  
Montblanc Worldsecond is a mobile based application that is designed to take photos all over the world at the same time. There is a timer in the application and you can only take photo on that particular moment. And photos are uploaded to Montblanc Worldsecond website for a picture mosaic.
This campaign will run until the end of December, 2012. However my concern is the awareness, Montblanc is a niche luxury brand and many people never heard of it. Therefore, the engagement with the campaign might be low. On the other hand, the campaign is very creative and if many people are engaged with Montblanc Worldsecond, the outcome will be amazing.
I hope Montblanc is going to promote this campaign on Facebook. Because, I checked the website and I did not find many photos. If the community will be large, the photo mosaic will be amazing!
