Rolls Royce Wraith Photos from Geneva, Goodwood (England) and All Press Releases

Rolls Royce Wraith, the latest coupe from Rolls Royce. Literally, the most charming Rolls Royce on product range. The Wraith is based on Ghost with a smaller dimension but still Wriath is a huge coupe. And powered by a V12 petrol engine with 624 HP and 800 Nm of torque (more than Ghost). Also Wraith experienced weight reduction to improve handling and to provide more sportive handling experience.

Rolls Royce Wraith’s drivetrain was developed in Nürburgring and this proofs that Wraith will be a different Rolls Royce. And also 8-speed automatic gearbox works simultaneously with GPS system and selects the best gear for the road based on the data received from satellites and it is called Satellites Aided Transmission. And lastly, Wraith only needs 4.4 seconds to achieve 100 km/h!

My opinion, Rolls Royce Wraith definitely competes with Bentley Continental GT and that’s a really good step for Rolls Royce. Until now, Bentley Continental GT did not have a direct competitor from Rolls Royce and that was leaving a gap for Rolls Royce. I am definitely sure that many people would prefer the Rolls Royce Wraith but the €245.000 base price is a serious obstacle. But this market, €245.000 is not a big problem.

I uploaded all the photos from Geneva, Goodwood press event and press photos. Video are coming as well.

How to Pronounce Rolls Royce Wraith?

How to pronounce Rolls Royce Wraith? Wraith is the newest coupe from the Rolls Royce, it will be based on Rolls Royce Ghost and designed to compete with Bentley Continental GT coupe.

However, we have a problem. Rolls Royce Wraith is not easy to pronounce. If you are planning to buy one and visit a dealer, you may have a problem. I want the coupe that starts with W does not sound a great solution.

So, I found the pronunciation of the Wraith from Oxford dictionary. Firstly, Wraith means Ghost in Scottish.

Here is the pronunciation: /reɪθ/

You don’t pronounce the W in the beginning and stress on the “th”. Video footage will help you as well.

New Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible Previously Known As GTC Speed

Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible is official announced today. And interestingly Bentley did not name this car as GTC Speed like previous years. The GTC was standing for the convertible version of GT, and by this way we can identify the Bentley whether it is coupe or convertible. However, this time Bentley decided to name the GT Speed Convertible and removed the “C” from GTC. I have no clue why Bentley changed the name of the car.
Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible is the fastest four-seat convertible on product, thanks to 325 km/h (202 mph) top speed. A friendly recommendation, don’t try to drive a convertible with those speeds, it may not be that comfortable!
Continental GT Speed Convertible achieves this outstanding top speed by W12 twin turbo petrol engine with 625 HP and 800 Nm of torque from the 2000 rpm! Basically, you don’t need to lower the gears to speed up. And W12 engine is coupled with short ratio 8-speed automatic gearbox. And this W12 engine is 15% more economic than the previous one. I am definitely sure that, after this improvement people will rush into Bentley :)
I don’t think that many customers of Bentley change their mind due to consumption figures. It is good to see the improvement in fast cars but their customers really don’t bother with the petrol price :) As some of them produce petrol as well.
Lastly, Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible really looks beautiful. I am not a fan of convertible cars but GT Speed looks really nice.
The technical information of the Bentley Continental GT Speed and GT Speed Convertible is below the photos.

Another New Bentley Continental GT Speed Video

Bentley released another video of the new Continental GT Speed. I guess after all these videos, existing Continental GT owners will be depressed. Because, their Bentley is slow now! And didn’t receive promotion like this.
This video of Continental GT Speed shows the detailed luxury features. Such as; leather, aluminium craftsmanship and interior details. And show how fast can Continental GT Speed can go while you drive it slowly.

How much can you live between heartbeats ?

New Bentley Continental GT Speed

Bentley Continental GT Speed is released, Speed is a bit faster than “normal” Continental GT. Continental GT Speed is powered by a W12 625 PS of power and 800 Nm of torque, and for the first time it is coupled with 8-speed automatic transmission.
This new 8-speed automatic transmission in Bentley Continental GT Speed offers Block Shifting. This automatic transmission is capable of shifting from 8th gear to 4th gear instantly. This usually does not happen with other automatic transmissions.
Bentley Continental GT Speed is capable of accelerating to 100 kph (62 mph) 4.2 seconds with the top speed of 330 kph (205 mph). Consumption ? Combined 14.5 lt/km (19.5 mpg). So Continental GT Speed consumers lots of petrol! If you can pay the price tag, I am sure you wouldn’t be bothered with the consumption.
Basically, Continental GT Speed is faster than the normal one and this makes the normal Continental GT less desirable. Why do you want to own a slower Bentley!

New Range Rover Caught by a Mercedes-Benz G55 AMG

New Range Rover 2013 prototype was caught while testing on Dubai by a Mercedes-Benz G55 AMG driver. It is very easy to identify the monster Mercedes V8 Kompressor engine!
And from the footage, the major lines of the new Range Rover is very clear. And I can say one thing, Land Rover did not take a risk to introduce a fully refresh Range Rover. Instead, Land Rover re-interpret the well respected Range Rover design shift into a higher level. This re-interpretation of design is done by Bentley Continental, Audi A3. Because, including Range Rover these vehicles receive really high demand from customers and people are willing to own one. Therefore, manufacturers do not wish to take a risk and introduce something totally different, instead they introduce a car that looks a bit similar to previous generation. So, existing customers will be buy it and existing fans will keep loving it.
However, in my opinion a new car needs to be a new car. Especially in terms of design. You never see a Maserati or a Ferrari or an Alfa Romeo with similar lines with previous model. I do not criticise the manufacturers and I do understand the huge risk of introducing a totally new design for a vehicle that has very solid sales performance.
Still, I go for the Mercedes-Benz G Wagon :)

Bentley Continental GT Speed

Bentley Continental GT Speed is finally here. If you were thinking, the current Continental GT was slow and looking for something faster, here is the solution! Bentley Continental GT Speed features W12 engine with 625 PS of power, 800 Nm of torque, 8-Speed automatic gearbox, 21-inch wheels, 0-100 kph (62 mph) in 4,2 seconds and achieves 325 kph (205 mph) of top speed.
Basically, this is the proper Bentley Continental you should buy :)

Bentley EXP 9F SUV in Paris Dakar

Bentley EXP 9F is the Bentley’s attempt to shake the Range Rover’s castle! Honestly, it didn’t work that well. Bentley EXP 9F concept did not receive positive feedback from press and from the social media. The EXP 9F looks like an up-lifted Bentley Mulsanne with interesting design bits and looks similar to Range Rover Sport from the back-end.
So this adverse situation did not stop Bentley to reveal EXP 9F and create a product image. This is really a tough job! Bentley decided to take a part in 2013 Paris Dakar Rally with EXP 9F SUV. Paris Dakar is a really a tough race and pushes the limits of the vehicles. So why they did this?
If you remember 2000s; you will remember that when Bentley introduced the Continental Family, at the same time Bentley took place in Le Mans 24 Race and they won it. So, Bentley image was strength and a good environment was developed to introduce the new Continental Family. Something was different at that time, Continental is way better looking than the EXP 9F!
Now Bentley is trying to achieve the same thing with the EXP 9F SUV. They would probably win the Paris Dakar 2013 or achieve a very performance and create a solid product image. But I am not sure, is it going to end up the same way like Le Mans 24 and Continental Family. Bentley EXP 9F needs a new design. We will see what will happen next.
