New Kia Optima

I hope you have finished watching five hours of Adriana Lima’s Super Bowl ads, you are ready for this. Five years ago, Kia was not a brand to be desired for many people. It was a brand good for inferior cars. This means, you cannot afford to buy a better brand and you need a car, eventually you end up with Kia.
However, things have changed! After the new design team, Kia revised it whole model range and amend the perception to global market. They started to offer much better looking cars, distinctive campaigns, improved the production quality, offer more features. Honestly most of the Kia range looks really nice! Especially the new Optima.
I was waiting for the full details of Optima to be released and see its features. First of all, it has a great design that can compete with Ford Mondeo or VW Passat. Unlike old days, the new Optima offers new technologies as well. Six-speed automatic, 2.0-lt petrol engine that produces 165 PS and 1,7-lt diesel engine produces 134PS, six airbags, electric memory seat adjustment, panoramic roof, heated and cooled seat and eco mode. Some of these features are standard in other brands but it is surprising to see them in a Kia.
Kia never used to offer these technologies or this type of distinctive design. My personal opinion for Optima is worth to try. At least a test drive just to see what the have achieved. I think Kia deserves this.

Özellikle yeni tasarım ekibi sayesinde Kia ürünleri çok daha çarpıcı tasarımlara sahip olmaya başladı, ürünler daha rekabetçi özellikle sunmaya başladı ve genel olarak üretim kalitesi arttı.  
Özellikle Optima veya Magentis modeli ile Ford Mondeo veya VW Passat gibi pazarda ki önemi rakiplerin karşısına ciddi bir tasarımla ortaya çıktı. Gelişme sadece tasarımla sınırlı değil! 2.0-lt benzinli motoru 165 beygir ve 1,7-lt dizel motor ise 134 beygir güç üretmekte, panoramik cam tavan, hafızalı ve elektrik ayarlı ve ısıtma-soğutma sistemli koltuklar, altı ileri otomatik vites, altı hava yastığı gibi pazarda ki diğer markaların sunduğu özellikleri Optima/Magnetis ile sunmaya başladı. 
Açıkçası, Kia taraftarı hiçbir zaman olmadım ama şunu da unutmamak gerekir ki Kia’nın son dönemde ki atağına saygı duymak lazım. Kısa bir sürede bu kadar gelişme, göz ardı edilemez bir başarı. Bu yüzden de Kia Optima/Magentis deneme sürüşünü hak ediyor!

I know the next Stig!

After seven years of curiosity, we finally found out who is the Stig. Honestly Ben Collins’s appearance on FifthGear might boost the ratings but it will not create the same attention. We all know who is the Stig and his capabilities. So the case is closed now.
However the new Stig case is just beginning. Someone is going to take place of the Stig and we have no clue about what will happen next. And while looking at Stig’s book (I didn’t start reading), I noticed that Jordan (aka. Katie Price) has a special place! Especially her aggressive driving style was a very remarkable moment of TopGear! And her pinky style. Interesting some websites are talking about pink Stig. We had black and white Stig, now we may have a pink one or a gray one. I guess pink will be more colourful for the show!
When I combine two notions together, I found out something! The next Stig is Katie Price. She loves pink, drives aggressively on TopGear track, there are many rumours about Stig’s colour. So the I am nominating Katie Price as the next Stig :) With pink Stig, TopGear can have the highest ratings on earth !!!

Non boring Kia

I think you may guess my approach to specific car brands, how I evaulute them and show my emotions towards their products. One of my least favourite brand is Kia! Kia is not a bad brand but they are excellent at producing very ugly looking cars. I have never ever emerged an emotion to any Kia car. They are not bad, Kia developed itself really good in last one decade but they look dull, until now!
Audi’s chief designer Peter Schreyer was transferred to Kia nearly four years ago and I was expecting to see eye catching new models from Kia. Because, Schreyer is one of the very best designers and his designs like Audi TT and Audi A2 are really unique cars.
Eventually last week I saw the new Kia Optima but I noticed that it was a Kia after five minutes. It was looking totally something different, there is no relationship between a traditional Kia and this car. My thoughts about Kia definitely changed after this car. This is not just a car, this is a new era for boring Kia. Like French Revolution! New Optima is showing that, we are not ugly and boring anymore. I really wish that Kia will also offer higher quality and less cheap plastic in this car to complete their new image. I still don’t like other Kias except this new one.
This car is one of the best looking cars in its segment. Like Ford Mondeo, Alfa Romeo 159. I really want to see that Kia will also a revolutionary features ;)

Ford C’eed, hopps new Focus

Kia is one the most undesirable brand for me. I know that, their quality and technology significantly raised during last five years but Kia brand is a very warm brand for me. On the other hand; I really like European Fords, they handle nice, you get what you paid for and its design is nice. Until now, Ford Focus’s design was nice! Instead of getting better, Focus’s design is getting worse and worse. When the first Focus was reveal nearly more than ten years ago, they left the car in London and count how many people look at the car and it was a huge number, which I don’t remember now. However second generation Focus did not catch enough attention but the last one will definitely be recognized as Kia C’eed.
Ford has very good designer team, they have designed Mondeo, S-Max and Kuga. They all look very good. But when it comes to Focus, there is no effort! Hopefully, this time Ford didn’t forget to put a better interior, this is the good side of new Focus. But the rest is just no comment! Here you could see Kia C’eed and new Ford Focus. And as we could see from the pictures; new Ford Focus is designed by Ford USA! Just check the back of the new Focus, you will see :)
