The Vogue Editors Go To Fashion Week vs. Laws of Physics

British Vogue magazine recently revealed a YouTube video that explains their moments during the London Fashion Week, The Vogue Editors Go To Fashion Week vs. Laws of Physics. I started to watch the video and as usual, it started with a lovely Range Rover (I don’t like the new Range Rover). Nothing wrong with this, even though Range Rover literally has ageing high tech gadgets.

The Range Rover started to pick-up editors, of course the driver picked them up. Range Rover cannot drive by itself. And when they started the journey, I noticed that none of the British Vogue editors were wearing their seat belts. I know in London, the average speed of travelling is like 20-30 km/h. And they are seating at the rear seats!

However, laws of physics do apply to all of us! Regardless of our speed, title or seat position. It is very simple, if an object rapidly decelerates, our body cannot cope with the huge amount of g-force and we hit to object that is in front of us. And this is called an accident, consequences of rapid deceleration.

I can imagine their work load during the London Fashion Week, however they are still in public road, they are not escorted like in annual UN meeting. And also, many people perceive them as a role-model, therefore I would highly suggest British Vogue team to wear their seat belts.

Never forget, airbags are designed to be working effectively when the seat belts are on!

London Fashion Week 2014 Fashions Finest Show was my first experience in London Fashion Week. The Fashions Finest Show took place in The Grand Connaught Room. The catwalk started with Nova and Bohemian Fashion Design, Tiffany Brown, Vintage Icons, Theodore Elyett, JoDeLyn LONDON and Mala’s Couture.

Each of the designer took part during the Fashions Finest Show had a unique approach to their collection, therefore it is really hard to criticise or compare these brands with each other.

London Fashion Week 2014 finished last week and I had chance to attend to catwalk of one of the inspiring new designer, Sofia Dourvari. Sofia is from Greece and created her fashion brand in Manchester. As I remember this is her second time at London Fashion Week, and this year I had the opportunity to see her new collection. Fashions Finest Show from Mobile Gadgets | London Fashion Week 2014

Fashions Finest London Fashion Week 2014 event, it was my first London Fashion Week event. And I wanted to start with a unique post! A fashion show from screens of mobile gadgets.

After the iPhone and iPad, the photography had a revolution. The device that was designed to talk with other people is now the most important item of a fashion show. A couple of years ago, people would be using their digital cameras to take photos but I hardly spotted a digital camera. Actually, there were not digital cameras attended the event with the guests.

Also the tablets, they were never designed to be used a camera but with the improvements of their sensors, the tablets are the second most famous gadget on the fashion event. But tablets look really funny. Please try not to take photos with tablets!

So who received the highest attention from the mobile gadgets? Manchester based Greek designer, Sofia Dourvari.

So, here is the Fashions Finest event from the screens of mobile gadgets.

Alexander McQueen in London Fashion Week 2013 Men Collection

Alexander McQueen, one of the most iconic contemporary fashion brand from the UK. I really admire McQueen’s design despite its astonishing price tag. And Alexander McQueen men collection met with the public, I uploaded the Autumn / Winter 2013 today and the rest of the collection will be uploaded in following days.

Regarding to men collection of Alexander McQueen, there is one thing is eye-catching; double pocket in the right side of the jacket. Or you can call it double deck pocket. In terms of uniqueness and making the collection different, I liked it but is it practical? Some of the designs may look amazing like Aston Martin cars but they may not be that good when you start using them everyday! (Aston Martin does not offer very high level of comfort.) And also, having two pocket in your left side is a great short-cut to lose your things in your jacket :)

Nichole Farhi Men Collection (AW and SS 2013): London Fashion Week 2013

London Fashion Week Men collection of Nicole Farhi. Nicole Farhi is one my favourite designers. Her collection is simple, elegant and contemporary.

Unfortunately Nicole Farhi’s Autumn / Winter 2013 collection is mainly black, white and grey. I find these colours a bit boring and quite easy to find in different collections as well. Honestly, Topman Design has more vibrant colours than the Nicole Farhi but still Farhi is my favourite.
