Louis Vuitton Fall 2014 Campaign with Maserati Boomerang | Tyres!

Louis Vuitton recently used an iconic and also tend to break down Maserati Boomerang for the Fall 2014 campaign. However, I noticed something on the photos! And I assume many people did not even notice this.

Maserati Boomerang is not equipped with the same tread patterns of tyres! I know this does not sound unusual for many people but for road safety, each tyres of the vehicle should have the same tread pattern. However, this Boomerang has a semi-slick front tyres and rear tyres seem to have a old-school winter tyre.

What do these things mean? Basically, this car will understeer heavily on wet roads due to semi-slick front tyres and control will be really hard. And on dry roads, it will understeer due to lack of friction at the rear tyres when it is compared to semi-slick front tyres.

Understeer means, you won’t have a control on front wheels this leads to lose the control on front-end and crash to a tree. Oversteer means, you won’t control the rear-end and crash to a tree. In both case, you will crash to a tree, so be careful!

With this article, I managed to harmonise a luxury fashion brand with tyre tread patterns, well done to me :)

Louis Vuitton iPhone 4/4S Cases

Louis Vuitton iPhone 4 case, these words are a bit contradicting! Such as hot ice! In terms of language, it is possible but literally impossible in real life. Louis Vuitton is a brand of LVMH group and has a very long years of heritage on fashion industry. And we all know the iPhone 4 and 4S! Nearly four-year old technology and probably the slowest devices to run IOS 7 and IOS 8 will not be running on them.
Is it possible to buy a iPhone 4? No! But you can still buy iPhone 4S for £349 in UK and rest of the world, the price is around the same radius. I am not saying, iPhone 4S is a bad phone or don’t buy it. If you are looking for a very well made smart phone with a glass back, go for the iPhone 4S but only, if you are going to use it for simple things! Otherwise, you will get really crazy.
Why I am talking about the iPhone 4S on a topic related with Louis Vuitton. Because, Louis Vuitton is still offering iPhone 4 cases (iPhone 4 and 4S have the same form factor). There are four different types of them and they are all priced at £185! More than half of the price of a brand new iPhone 4S.
The interesting point, do people still buy iPhone 4S and at the same time, can afford to buy a Louis Vuitton? Because, iPhone 4S is the entry product for the Apple’s mobile phone product segment. Someone who is heading for entry level product is either looking only for iPhone 4S or cannot afford to buy iPhone 5C or 5S. This makes the market margin for the Louis Vuitton to sell iPhone 4 cases to a very very niche market.
As I told you, Louis Vuitton is a part of LVMH group and they know how to do business! And I am sure there are some people on earth, buying or using iPhone 4/4S and afford to consume Louis Vuitton at the same time.
Last point, how can you use iPhone 4 or 4S nowadays? It is very very slow. If you don’t update it, nothing will be running! But iPhone 4 was a ground-breaking device on 2010! And please don’t buy the one with huge LV logo, please…

Louis Vuitton Fall 2014 Campaign | Maserati Boomerang

If you are thinking what was that car on the Louis Vuitton 2014 fall campaign, I have the answer for you. Maserati Boomerang! Boomerang was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro for 1972 Geneva Motor Show but this design never ended up at the production.

In those years, the designers were trying to predict what kind of vehicle we will be driving in future and time-to-time, they end up with really interesting design like Boomerang. Even though, it looks a bit funny but the interior has some realistic clue that can be found inside of a Ferrari nowadays. The steering-wheel of the Maserati Boomerang is around the instrument panel and control button. And You can see the same design with every Ferrari and it is not really an ergonomic design.

So why Louis Vuitton ended up with a 1970s futuristic car on their fall 2014 campaign? This campaign was curated by three photographers; Annie Leibovitz, Juergen Teller and Bruce Weber. And it is better to see Maserati Boomerang instead of Range Rover!

Maserati Boomerang is or was Powered by a 314 hp 4.7-lt V8 petrol (not a diesel) engine. And the engined was coupled with 5-speed manual transmission in 1972!

Everyone is focused on World Cup nowadays and I haven’t written any single word about it. Why? Quite simple, I have no idea about football. So, I am a bit contradicting with my cars content on my blog.
However, some of the things related with World Cup is exciting, Louis Vuitton!
The case for the FIFA World Cup trophy is commissioned by the Louis Vuitton. Hand made and covered with the traditional Monogram canvas. It measures 36 cm, weighs around 6 kg and made from 18-carat gold. Unfortunately, Louis Vuitton’s World Cup case is not available to purchase!

Louis Vuitton BMW i8 Collection

Louis Vuitton BMW i8 collection is recently revealed in London. In case you wonder, BMW i8 is the plug-in hybrid sports car of the BMW made from carbon-fibre. i8 does not based on any existing BMW platform, it is designed on a blank sheet of paper. Basically, BMW i8 is a ground breaking new sports car and like all other sports car, i8 has a limited luggage space.
What is wrong with the limited luggage space in a sports car? Basically, you cannot fit any luggage properly, because it is tiny. In order to over come this problem, you can either stop using the luggage space or buy bespoke luggages. And Louis Vuitton helps you to solve this problem with BMW i8.
The carbon fibre and leather crafted exquisite hand bags and luggage of Louis Vuitton will help you to use the luggage space very efficient way. Also Louis Vuitton’s collection is matching with the DNA of the BMW i8 perfectly. That’s what I really like with this collection. Matching with the DNA of the BMW i8 and manufactured by Louis Vuitton.
BMW i8 is powered by a 1.5-lt three-cylinder petrol engine with 231 HP and 320 Nm of torque and drive the rear wheels. The electric motor is powering the front wheels with 96 HP and 250 Nm of torque. The top speed with both power plants is 250 km/h, only electric drive top speed is 180 km/h. Acceleration to 100 km/h is only 4.4 seconds. The CO2 emission level is only 49 g/km!
