The New BMW M3 and M4

The new BMW M3 and M4 photos are revealed to public. But why I didn’t post them on my blog? I am very good at following trends and trying to be the first to publish photos and technical details, but I cannot keep up with big news portals. Honestly, I didn’t find a solid motivation to write about the new M3 and M4. May be it was too much on media, especially on social media and I decided to publish the photos today.

Actually, M3 and M4 used to be called M3 Coupe and Sedan. But after the BMW’s new branding strategy, the Coupe is now called M4 and the Sedan is called M3. Honestly, I don’t mind that much but it ruined the M3 heritage a bit. I think everyone has a memory with M3. Mine is back to high school years, a blue M3. I think the year was 1997 or 1998. The owner was a student at Anadolu University, Eskisehir in Turkey. And in those years, M3 was not something that common to see in a small city of Turkey. But we were lucky. The M3 was driven like VW Polo. Dirty, all the time on the road. That M3 did not have a very previlidged life. And that’s why I always remember that M3, whenever I see a M3 on street.

Nowadays, you spot a Bentley in a Turkish university as a mean of transportation for a wealthy student. So the BMW M3 is not that exclusive anymore.

Anyway, the new BMW M3 and M4 is powered by TwinPower turbo 3-lt petrol engine with 431 HP and 550 Nm of torque. The engine is coupled with a 7-speed double clutch automatic gearbox and if you still insist to live in 1980s, there is a manual option. Or you can travel back time to 1980s and cheer up with the manual gearboxes that are not efficient.  M3 and M4 only need 4.1 seconds to reach 100 km/h. But keep in mind, BMW’s figures are usually a bit slower than the reality. And the speed is limited to 250 km/h if you are poor. If you are rich, the top speed of M3 and M4 is 280 km/h with M Driver’s Package.

New BMW M3, or New M4

New BMW M3 is not available anymore, sorry for the inconvenience. However, BMW compensates this sadness with the brand new M4! If you don’t know yet, BMW recently rebranded the 3-Coupe and 3-Cabrio as 4-Series. So, we will not have a M4 Coupe anymore, it will be M4!
And few days ago, M4 Concept photos are revealed to press. Still this M4 is a concept vehicle but there won’t be major changes to design. However, I am started to suspect that BMW is influenced by the customers from Gulf countries and their tendency to wrap up their cars in gold plates. I think it is not hard to deny it when you see the photos.
BMW M4 is powered by a twin-turbo 3-lt engine with 450 HP and 550 Nm torque. BMW M4 hopefully will not feature the pre-historic automotive technology, the manual gearbox. M4 will be available only with 7-speed DCT double clutch automatic. Great news!

Green BMW M3

Green BMW M3! There is nothing special with this car at the moment. Literally, present BMW M3 is the end of its product lifecycle. However, things are a bit different on internet.
Couple of months ago, I uploaded a photo of a green BMW M3 and it became viral! Honestly, I have no idea how the image became viral and people are engaged.
This unexpected sensation of green BMW M3 motivated me to take more photos of the car and share with you.
Here is the green BMW M3!
BMW M3 is powered by a 4-lt petrol powered engine with 420 HP and 400 Nm of torque. Engine is coupled with seven-speed double clutch (DCT) automatic transmission. M3 needs only 4.6 seconds to reach 100 km/h and as usual the top speed is limited to 250 km/h. While driving the M3, you will pollute the environment with 263 g/km CO2.

BMW M3! Oppsss, that’s our logistical support vehicle!

BMW M3: This week there was something really interesting on internet, BMW M3 pick-up! Many websites suggested it was a new concept vehicle and it is under testing stage. Lots of people blogged, tweeted and comment about this weird looking vehicle. As a result of this superb motivation it ended up with nearly seven millions of Google search result. I am sure that, it did not happen in couple of days but during one-week time, it boosted the postings

After this unexpected pictures, BMW recently announced that M3 pickup is used only for logistical support and nothing more than that! That’s not true, with those pictures BMW engaged with word-of-mouth on social media and this means, free advertisement and increase on motivation to seek for BMW. Usually this is achieved by expensive ad campaigns but this time, BMW just showed its “logistical support” vehicle and let others to advertise on BMW! Excellent strategy and is shows that BMW knows the power of social media and how it can help to promote it brand.

By the way, in couple of years later, we can see a pick-up version of M3. In automotive world, nothing is impossible. In 2002 Porsche said, we will never use diesel engines in our product range and now they have diesel Cayenne and planning on diesel Panamera. Don’t be shocked if you see a pickup version of M3 in a dealer.

Lastly if it was a logistic vehicle, why it is under camouflaged? And why drivers are wearing helmets?
