How to Remove iPhone 5 Scratches and Scuffs with Porsche Design Pen

iPhone 5 side scratches and Porsche Design pen. Probably the funniest title for the iPhone 5! But, you cannot imagine the intersection of these two different items on one thing.

As the iPhone 5 was revealed, the rumours and photos started to appear on internet due to vulnerability of sides and back for scratches and scuffs. iPhone 5 is made from anodised aluminium instead of stainless steel, which iPhone 4 and 4S is made from. Anodised aluminium made iPhone 5 lighter and also anodising process made the aluminium more resistant to scratches and scuffs.

Actually, we were told like this but the reality was different. Many people started to complain the scratches and scuffs started to appear on their new iPhone 5 in a very short time. And unfortunately, I am one of them as well. Hopefully, mine is not black iPhone 5 so I am better off with white. Because, the black iPhone 5 shows any minor scratches or scuffs more easily due to its painted colour. However, white iPhone 5 covers the minor things.

Anyway, a few weeks after I had my iPhone 5 I realised a minor scuff under the volume control buttons. And I was a bit disappointed to see this. Because, I had iPhone 4 for quite long time and there was nothing on the sides! As I don’t have any chance to repair this, I ignored it.

One day, I took my stainless steel Porsche Design P3120 (When I bought it, they told me it is made from stainless steel) and tried to remove excess aluminium from the scuff on iPhone 5’s side. While doing this, I realised that stainless steel Porsche Design pen removed the excess aluminium and also the scuff.

I am not joking, the sides of iPhone 5 is very soft. And it can be manipulated very easily with a harder material. So, I noticed the power of Porsche Design pen and kept correcting the scuff. It was so easy, in less than five minutes the scuff was removed also some layers of aluminium as well. I know this sound crazy but the material is so soft and it is very easy to correct any scratches or scuffs by removing layers. For sure, it doesn’t look that nice but better than an ugly scuff.

My final decision, if you are planning to buy an iPhone 5 go for the white one. I know black looks better but go for the white! If you don’t want to use a case or cover or any type of protector, your iPhone 5 more likely to have scratches or scuffs in meantime. And don’t worry, you may fix them by using a stainless steel object like my Porsche Design pen. And if you have some skills, you can engrave some patterns or your name very easily to sides of the iPhone 5.

So this is the solution to how to remove scratches and scuffs from iPhone 5 side :)

Apple knows this problem and declared that; aluminium has a tendency for scratches and scuffs. And my response to Apple, please get in touch with Audi as soon as possible, as they manufacture cars from Aluminium for quite long time and I am sure that you can buy some of their material technology to improve the iPhone’s structure.

New Collection of Porsche Design

Porsche Design introduced their new fashion collection, jeans and more women collection. Finally, there is an opportunity to wear a Porsche as trousers. Many of the Porsche Design items are very tempting for me, and every time I visit a Porsche Design store I want to buy everything inside.
However, this new jeans collection will be exempted. In general, I like the cut and the design of the jeans, but I really didn’t like the product code P’1911 at the bottom. This definitely turns you into a car. Your model identification is at the back! I prefer to be removed :)
And other items are for women, I really wonder does Porsche Design really have women customers. But I can see that, there are some and there are some “sexy” Porsche Design collection for them.

Porsche Design Studio Architecture Marina Studies

Porsche Design Studio develops state-of-art industrial design that are reflecting the design philosophy of Porsche. Therefore, whatever Porsche Design Studio creates, I love it! However, I don’t love their price tag.
And I am speechless with Porsche Design Studio’s marina studies :)

BMW Group DesignworksUSA

Today I would like to share the dark part of the BMW, BMW Group DesignworksUSA. Unlike Porsche Design, DesignworksUSA is not that popular, it did not become a part of the popular culture. Many people became aware of DesignworksUSA, when the Chris Bangle was moved to this company after stopped designing cars.
Unfortunately, DesignworksUSA is not like Porsche Design, they don’t have a wide range of products. They are more concentrated on industrial design, and collaborated many different brands such as; Intel, Adidas, HP, Nokia, Deutsche Bahn.
There are two design from BMW DesignworksUSA! A 12-foot pedestrian light and Lo-Glo, a 3-foot pathway light, feature LED cartridge and a Thermaltake computer mouse.

Creator of Porsche 911 Ferdinand Alexander Porsche Lost His Life

Unfortunately I don’t have a very good news today. Creator of Porsche 911, Honorary President of the Supervisory Board of Porsche Ferdinand Alexander Porsche died on 5 April 2012 at the age of 76. He created the most iconic car of the automotive era, and established a design culture for the Porsche. From Boxster to Porsche Design pens, you can see the inspiring details from the 911. What he has contributed to automotive industry cannot be forgotten and will be remembered in automotive history.
He is not with us anymore but, his spirit will be alive with the each Porsche.

Last Post of 2011: Jimmy Choo Coffee Sleeve!

Many people usually say, there is no point to spend money on Porsche Design pen, Ferrari watch or Bentley iPad case! From one point of view, this is right. These products have higher prices due their brand, not based on their functionality. I totally understand this interpretation.

And now, people who complain about Porsche Design or Ferrari store products; tell me what you think about a leather coffee sleeve by Jimmy Choo. This superb product offers to insulate the heat generate by the coffee and transferred to your hand through a leather cover. In normal conditions, every coffee shop provides free sleeve made from paper. However, some people thought this is not showing my style and my wealth. And started to look for other alternatives. As Jimmy Choo realised this opportunity and released a stylish, expensive and a bit pointless leather coffee sleeve!

Porsche Bathrobe: Softest Porsche Ever!

A new product from Porsche Design, bathrobe for men. Unfortunately, only for men at the moment. I have no idea what Porsche Design team was thinking while making this product. It is a bathrobe with Porsche Design logo on it and I don’t think that, it shares any innovative technology with Porsche at all.
Actually, the most interesting point is the customers. If Porsche Design produces this product, there are some potential people, who are looking forward to wear this bathrobe for quite long time!

Versace for H&M

On Thursday, H&M is going to reveal the Versace for H&M collection. Many people were waiting for this for quite long time. They were waiting to own a Versace cloth without bearing the weight of Versace price tag! And H & M is the master of this, they collaborated with many brands and made many people happy :)
As I mention last years, I am waiting for Porsche Design for H&M collection :) Porsche Design is quite expensive like Versace, also offers very stylish cloths. So why do we wait? Actually, I know the answer, Porsche Design is produced by Adidas. And this makes it quite impossible for a collaboration with H&M.
However, who knows the future! Versace said we would not collaborate with H&M but they did ;) I still have some hope.

Porsche Design Useful Things

Porsche Design always surprises me with their impressive product extension. This time they started a new line called Useful Things! If you are worried about, there is a big gap in your life without Porsche Design while doing some particular things, you have the chance to fill it now.

Recently I saw some of the Useful Things at Porsche Design London store. Unfortunately, I saw some of them; Soup Set, Tea Set and Chopsticks. I am sure that, many people are feeling the emptiness of Porsche Design while drinking a soup, eating a sushi and preparing a tea. These useful things will make your life wonderful while lighting your wallet :)

New Small Porsche

I like one thing with Porsche, even if you cannot afford to buy one, you can still buy a Porsche product from Porsche Design. I agree it does not give the same feeling but if you are into Porsche, their product would definitely satisfy you. This is similar to luxury handbag brands, like Louis Vuitton if you cannot afford to buy a decent size hand bag, they have other options to satisfy you. The other options are usually small leather goods but at least you have a LV!
Hopefully Porsche realised that, there are many people like me who are willing to own a Porsche but does not wish to save money for following next couple of decades. Or end up with Boxster, it is really a nice car but I would like to own a 911 or something with more Porsche genes. Eventually, Porsche is going to find a solution for this confusion. They recently announced that 550 Spyder will be built on 2014 summer. This car will be based on James Dean’s Porsche 550 Spyder and it will be powered by 1.6 litre engine that produces 200-horse power. 200 HP sounds really weak for a Porsche but don’t forget old Porsche cars had small engines!
Honestly, if they revealed this car I would be happy to buy one. It will be a contemporary interpretation of the old version. It may not be very fast but I am pretty sure that, it will have the Porsche handling characteristics. This would help us to ignore the sufficient engine power. And it is not the first time Porsche offers a small car with small engine.
Price starts from 35000€ and this makes Spyder even more attractive! I know many people will buy it but still it is good have a Porsche like this.
