Rolls-Royce Phantom HR Owen London

Rolls-Royce Phantom from London (HR Owen), as usual taken with 50mm f 1.8 lens. I know this Phantom is from more than ten years ago and you might be wondering why I am writing about it. Despite its age, the Phantom is still the pinnacle of the ultra luxury car. There are no any other cars to substitute for this car.

Neither the Bentley Mulsanne nor Mercedes-Maybach S600 can offer the uniqueness of the Phantom. These competitors may have targeted the Ghost, but not the Phantom.

Interestingly, this time I found a Phantom with a short-wheel base. Until this point, I’d always spotted the long-wheel base model but I found this model was really short! You can spot the lack of space at the rear seats. However, a short-wheel base is not a bad thing; if you wish to drive a Phantom yourself, a short-wheel base will be more suitable for you.

Rolls-Royce Wraith via Canon 50mm f 1.8 Lens

Rolls-Royce Wraith with Canon 50mm f 1.8 lens. I cannot describe the beauty of the Wraith, therefore I took these photos at HR Owen Rolls-Royce dealer in Mayfair, London. I wrote many articles about Wraith but I keep taking photos of this car!

Wraith is powered by a 6.6 litre, twin turbo-charged V12 engine. And this brings 624 hp with 800 Nm of torque. Wraith needs only 4.4 seconds to reach 100 km/h!

Mercedes-Maybach S600 vs Rolls Royce Ghost II

Mercedes-Maybach S600 vs Rolls Royce Ghost II. Basically, Rolls Royce Ghost II is the main rival of the Maybach. Maybach once failed to compete with Rolls Royce and during that time, Maybach was trying to compete with Rolls Royce Phantom. Whilst Maybach was based on a very old S-Class!

Now Mercedes learned the mistakes and they used the Maybach as a product variation similar to AMG. And that was very cleaver decision. Now, Maybach is clearly based on the S-Class that resembles with Rolls Royce Ghost. Why? Because, Ghost is based on BMW 7-Series. Now the game is fair!

Mercedes-Maybach offers state-of-art technologies that are available with any S-Class. The main advantages of having Mercedes-Maybach is the latest pre-crash systems, Pre-Safe. Pre-Safe technologies can identify cross traffic, pedestrians, cyclists, rear-end collisions. In addition, Mercedes-Maybach offers reclining seats that are amazing. Honestly, that’s main reason why I loved Maybach. You can have a seat like a bed inside a car. However, Rolls Royce Ghost can adjust the softness of the suspension based on the seat are on!

Also, Rolls Royce Ghost II offers the coolest rear hinged doors! That cannot be ordered with a Mercedes-Maybach. Despite the coolest features of the Ghost II, it does have a drive shaft tunnel, which you can find with the Mercedes-Maybach as well.

Another advantage of the Mercedes-Maybach is being under the radar. Whichever Mercedes models you purchase, people perceive it as a Mercedes. Even if you have Mercedes-Maybach, people will say that’s a S-Class. However, when you purchase a Rolls-Royce, all eyes on you. Even if, the car is from second hand market with 100.000-km on dial. It doesn’t matter, you still have a Rolls-Royce and you are a mega rich. Mercedes-Maybach will be the most luxurious under the radar vehicle.

My personal preference is for the Mercedes-Maybach, because it offers better technology than the Ghost II. However, we may see new technologies with Rolls Royce Ghost II after the 7-Series facelift. Also, you don’t need to ask engineers at Rolls-Royce to have a reclining seats, Maybach offers them as a standard. Despite the advantages of the Maybach, it is still a Mercedes. It cannot provide you the experience and the exclusivity of a Rolls-Royce. And the unforgettable experience of owning of a Rolls-Royce!

Rolls-Royce #InsideRollsRoyce Exhibition at Saatchi Gallery London

Rolls-Royce #InsideRollsRoyce exhibition at Saatchi Gallery London started two days ago. And I had chance to attend at the first day. So, is it possible to create an art exhibition from a car. For many people, car is an object that allows them to travel from a to b. However, this is a limited definition. And when it comes to Rolls-Royce, purchasing a car is bespoke journey and a to b concept does not match with this brand.
Most of the Rolls-Royce cars you see on the street are bespoke, basically, it is extremely hard to find an two identical Rolls-Royces. You might be saying, I saw two white Rolls-Royces yesterday. However, did you check their paint code? They may look white but they won’t have the same white tone. The bespoke approach with Rolls-Royce starts with the colour scheme (44.000 different colours) and finishes with your imagination that is possible to manufacture. Basically, when you decide to purchase a Rolls-Royce, you decide to have a bespoke purchasing journey.
As a result of this unique character of Rolls-Royce, it is a great opportunity to  know more about the brand. Unfortunately, society perceives luxury vehicles as an expensive purchase but the reality is totally different. Therefore, if you wish to know more about the Rolls-Royce heritage, you should visit the Saatchi Gallery until Sunday. And it is free to public!
Regarding to umbrellas, each Rolls-Royce comes with a pair of umbrella matching with the exterior colour of the car.

Rolls Royce Ghost received a facelift and became Ghost II. I never thought the Rolls Royce Ghost approached to facelift time but time passes very quickly. And Rolls Royce revised the Ghost with minor revision and updated. Now Ghost II features touch pad for using the entertainment system, navigation, phone and other tools. Headlights are now LED, more dynamic driving experience, lots of new colours and more personalisation. Also, GPS guided automatic transmission for bette efficiency and smoother riding comfort.

All Videos of TaxTheRich100 YouTube Channel

TaxTheRich100 is the most legendary and secret YouTube. And I decided to place all the videos of TaxTheRich100 in my blog. If you are interested on cars or watching TV news, I am sure you watched their videos. Off-road driving experiences of Ferrari Enzo, Jaguar XJ220 and Rolls Royce Phantom. Ferrari F50 burnout, Bugatti EB110 burnout, two Ferrari F50s tied together and reserve burnout. I think this was the most eccentric one! I have never seen two Ferrari F50s tied up together and performing reserve gear burnout.

I did my best to figure out who are doing these but they are very good hiding their selves under the radar.

Rolls Royce Phantom Coupe Aviator Collection

Rolls Royce Phantom Coupe Aviator Collection, it is a bit long name for a car but Phantom Coupe is quite big as well. The uniqueness of this Rolls Royce is, the price is £403,000 and there are only 35 of them all over the world. I assume, if you are planning to pay £400,000 in cash, they may reduce the £3,000 :) You may ask the more details to HR Owen.
Anyway, if the money is not a problem for you. Phantom Coupe Aviator will definitely satisfy your expectation. Everywhere inside the car is covered with leather, polish steel and wood. Literally, from head to top, this car is a statement of luxury.
Also, each Rolls Royce has 2:1 ratio; the total height of the vehicle is the twice the height of the wheels!
Phantom Coupe Aviator is powered by a V12 with 460 HP and 700 Nm of torque. And the engine is coupled with 8-speed automatic gearbox. And only needs 5.8-second to reach 100 km/h. And price is £403,000!
Would I buy it? If I had chance, definitely yes! It is one of the most beautiful looking coupes available market.

Royal Mail British Auto Legends Stamps Delivery with a Jaguar E-Type

Royal Mail Auto Legends stamps. If you haven’t heard about this, it is the limited edition of stamps from Royal Mail to congratulate the iconic cars of British automotive industry. Personally, I am not a stamp collector but when I saw these stamps on internet, I was really excited to see them live.

Hopefully, Royal Mail was very kind to send me. However, the sending process was totally different from what I thought. Honestly, I was expecting to receive the stamps via Royal Mail special delivery inside an envelope. And Royal Mail thought that, it is a bit boring way to delivery the stamps and they decided to use a red Jaguar E-Type for the delivery. I am not joking, Royal Mail arrived to my home with a red Jaguar E-Type to deliver these stamps. However, the story did not finish here!

The stamps were not inside an envelope, they were inside a bespoke made engraved red toolbox. Literally, this was the best PR campaign I have ever seen. The whole process was fantastic and left a great memory to remember in future.

Anyway, let’s go back to British Auto Legends stamps. The stamps feature; Jaguar E-Type — 1961, MG MGB — 1962, Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow — 1965, Morgan Plus 8 — 1968, Aston Martin DB5 — 1963, and Lotus Esprit — 1976.

And the prices for British Auto Legends stamps start from as low as £5.64! And it will be a great collectors’ item in future. For the record, never send me an email to buy these stamps in year 2053. I am pretty sure that, I will at least a half-century and instead asking to buy the stamps from me. Go and buy them now :)

You can buy the British Auto Legends stamps from Royal Mail’s online store.
