Bugatti and Nasa for More Powerful Veyrons

A few days ago, I wrote about the more powerful Bugatti Veyron with 1600 PS.

Bugatti Veyron started the journey with 1001 PS and it was a beyond our imagination at those times. Later on, Veyron Super Sport revealed with 1200 PS and we all thought it was the end. And now Bugatti is going to reveal 1600 PS power version of Veyron. However this is not the end, it is the new beginning.

As the Bugatti obsessed with more power, they are approaching the limits of the internal combustion engines. And I have a proposal for Bugatti for the future engine technology. Why don’t you start working with Nasa JetPropulsion Laboratory? Because, after the 1600 PS Veyron, there will be another Veyron with 2000 PS, then another one with 2250 PS, another one with 2500 PS and after sometime, Bugatti will reach the limits of the physics. Therefore, Bugatti needs to start working with Nasa Jet Propulsion Laboratory for the future engine options :)

More Powerful, Faster Bugatti Veyron: 1600 HP

Bugatti Veyron, Volkswagen Groups’s state-of-art lunatic car is going to have more power than ever according to WorldCarFans.com.
Bugatti is going to introduce 1600 HP Veyron based on an 8-lt or 9.6-lt engine with the top speed of 463 km/h and 1.8 seconds acceleration to 100 km/h. Moreover, Bugatti will be increase the amount of carbon fibre parts to reduce the weight up to 250 kg to achieve 1600 kg.
Why Bugatti is making a faster Veyron? The main reason is the image! Veyron has to be the most powerful mass production car on planet. And this reputation is going to be vanished by McLaren P1 and upcoming FerrariEnzo replacement. Both of these cars are capable of destroying Veyron’s reputation. And the basic solution to prevent this, introduce a more powerful version.
Price? Around €2 Million!

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse Special Edition only needs 2.6 seconds for 100 kph with 410 kph limited top speed, due to its open top design.
Price tag is €1.9 million! What I can say, another limited edition Veyron! I really wonder, will Bugatti ever run out of limited editions :)

McLaren P1: Inspired by UFOs

McLaren P1 is revealed today, this is the car that will be competing with Bugatti Veyron. Today, many journalists wrote many things about McLaren P1, for that reason I don’t want to repeat the same words.
In my opinion, P1 looks amazing! P1 is one of the best-looking cars on market today and P1 is going to be an icon. McLaren P1 does share some design bits from MP4-12C but that is not a surprise. However, this similar design bits do not ruin the harmony of the P1. Actually, McLaren P1 looks like a stealth plane and UFO. That’s the first that came to my mind, when I saw the McLaren P1.
Moreover, the rear-end of the McLaren P1 looks better than its front-end. Especially the extremely thin brake lights definitely look fabulous at night.
I guess Frank Stephenson wanted to increase the power of the P1 by using the exhaust as propulsion system. When you look at the exhaust of the McLaren P1, you expect to see flames coming out.
McLaren P1 is going to have 963 PS of power by using 3.8-lt V8 engine and Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS), zero to 100 kph will be 2.8 seconds and top speed of 384 kph (239 mph).

McLaren’s Rival to Bugatti

McLaren is released a video of its new model for the Paris Motor Show. This new McLaren is targeted directly to Bugatti Veyron and replace the McLaren F1 model. Frank Stephenson told me about this car and also added, it will be a proper Veyron rival.
According to gossips, new McLaren will have 3.8-lt V8 engine with KERS energy saving system that leads to produce 963 PS of power, 2.8 seconds to reach 100 kph with the top speed of 384 kph (239 mph).

Fisker Karma

Fisker Karma is the first electric car with on-board generator. Electric car story started long time ago, during the end of 1800s, electric cars were more popular than petrol powered ones. As the electric cars were easier to drive and creates no smoke, people tend to like them more. However, things did not go as planned. As the years passed, electric car passed out and we end up with petrol power!
Since last two decade, there is always an electric car rumour. However, they could never resolve the problem of charging. With the present technology, charging takes long time and batteries cannot mobilise you for long journeys. So, there are several options for electric cars; have a very long charging cable or carry an generator or don’t drive or place a generator inside the vehicle.
The best option is the last one, hopefully Fisker thought the same. And, Fisker Karma is built on this concept. Fisker Karma is an electric car with a generator inside the car. Basically, 2-lt turbo petrol engine (260 PS) is there to generate electricity. There are no physically connections between the petrol engine and wheels of Fisker Karma. 2-lt petrol engine in Fisker Karma only charges the batteries if necessary.
Unlike other ugly electric car, Fisker Karma has a state-of-art exterior and interior design. Two electric engines provide 1300 Nm of torque from the stand still. This means, Fisker Karma accelerate more aggressively than a Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, because Karma has more torque! Fisker Karma also has a limited-slip differential, 47/53 weight balance similar to Lamborghini, very high quality interior, Brembo brakes, pedestrian warning system (Karma warns pedestrians while going around the city), pressurised petrol tank to avoid any evaporated petrol to escape, ABS, traction control, stability control. The range of Fisker Karma is 50 miles / 80 km with pure electricity and with generator, 300 miles / 483 km; the roof is a solar roof to charge batteries. And the top speed of Fisker Karma is 125 mph / 200 kph.
Fisker Karma is really worth to buy car, it is not like other cheap looking electric cars. Karma offers a proper GT experience with contemporary technology. I am sure in future we will see cars like Fisker Karma more.

Porsche 918 Spyder with Electric Power

Porsche 918 Spyder, this new Porsche will take the space after Carrera GT left the production. Porsche 918 Spyder is a totally new concept, unlike Carrera GT it does not run on only petrol power, Porsche 918 runs with electric power as well. There are two electric engines are placed in 918 Spyder, one in front axle (122 PS) and the other one in rear axle (108 PS) act as a hybrid and runs with petrol engine. Moreover, 4.6-lt V8 petrol engine is also present and produces 570 PS of power. The combination of electric and petrol engines deliver more than 770 PS of power to Porsche 918 with only 3lt/km of consumption level! In addition, batteries can be charged by plug-in but charging times are not announced yet. The top speed is more than 325 kph (200 mph).
918 Spyder will also feature adaptive rear-axle steering and fully adaptive aerodynamics. Rear-axle steering can be found in BMW cars today and improves the cornering and parking significantly. Adaptive aerodynamics will be similar to Bugatti Veyron’s adaptive rear spoiler; acting as an air brake and improve handling at high speed.
Porsche 918 Spyder will go into production end of September 2013 and first delivery will be before the end of 2013. Porsche will be using carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFPR) to manufacture 918 Spyder. This enables to reduce the weight significantly and improve consumption, better handling and also better safety in higher speeds. As a result of this new technologies, Porsche defines the 918 Spyder as minimum consumption and maximum of performance.
According to press release and technical information, Porsche 918 Spyder will create a path in super car segment. During 2000s; we saw Ferrari Enzo, Mercedes McLaren SLR, Porsche Carrera GT and Ford GT. Bugatti Galibier 16C Concept

Bugatti Galibier 16C concept is the future Bugatti with four doors. It started as concept car and recently Bugatti released new footage on their YouTube channel. Footage shows the design details of this possible new model after Veyron. And it is clear that it will be powered by a 1000 PS engine and it will feature very nice engine bonnet!
Also, when you buy this €1.83 Million car, you will receive a free watch, which can be placed on instrument panel or you may place it on your wrist! This is great bargain!
The nice thing with Galibier is the mutual design bits from the iconic Bugatti Atlantic model, especially in the rear end. Galibier might be the first features a vertical brake light thanks to its main centre line, starts from the  rear end and finishes at the front.
