The new Audi TTS Coupe. I saw it in Mayfair, London. Did I get excited? No. Did I wish to own one? No. Why did I take the photos? It is the new Audi TTS!
The Audi TT is a love/hate car. You either love it or hate it. With every new generation, Audi TT has become better and better. It features a descent rear spoiler. (The first-gen TT had a stability problem due to the lack of a rear spoiler).
So what is new with the Audi TTS Coupe? Very simply, 310 PS of power from the 2-lt petrol engine! It is as fast as a Porsche Cayman S (4.7-sec with the Sport Chrono pack)Â and way more affordable than a Cayman S. (0 to 100 km/h only in 4.6 seconds, with a DSG gearbox)! All that power is transferred by an all-wheel drive Quattro system.
Despite the acceleration figures, Porsche will definitely handle better than TTS thanks to its rear mid-engine structure. In addition to this, Porsche is designed purely for performance and handling. On the other hand, the Audi TTS features Quattro, which adds extra weight but increases the handling on any road surface.
It is really hard to pick which is the best. Probably, it depends on your taste.
