Heidi Klum with Maserati for Sports Illustrated

Heidi Klum and Maserati for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. I already mentioned about this issue of Sports Illustrated, Kate Upton was enjoying the zero gravity and meantime, Heidi Klum enjoyed the Maseratis.
Maserati is one of my favourite car brand, I have an emotional connection with the brand that does not lead to any consumption decision. The main reason for this, new Maserati’s Ghible and Quattroporte do not offer any competitive technology like German brands. I know people buy Maserati because that’s a Maserati. However, we need the radar guided cruises control with stop and go function, pre-crash safety features and more. Because, they improve the driving and the safety.
Unfortunately, Maserati cannot offer any of these state-of-art technologies. What they offer is a unique design language and beautifully made cars. And with the help of Heidi Klum, it strongly emphasise its unique character.
Personally, one day I may buy a Maserati because it is a lifetime experience. It is not like buying a Mercedes E-Class or BMW 5-Series. They are lifetime necessity. Even though, Maserati cannot offer very competitive vehicle they are still worth to buy.

Volvo vs. Mercedes

I didn’t hear from Volvo for long time, it wasn’t that popular on news. The last news from Volvo was it is owned by Chinese company and we all left Volvo on that topic. And now the Chinese officially owns the Volvo Cars. And they have a very big target! Mercedes S Class.
Volvo is planning to introduce a competitor to Mercedes S Class! No, this is not a joke. Volvo is planning on a car which can compete with Mercedes S Class, BMW 7 Series and Audi A8. As far as I see, Volvo’s new management is aware of automotive business or trying to do something impossible. In other words, what Volvo is planning to do is like dying your hair to blonde and applying to Victoria’s Secret to replace Heidi Klum with you. Because, you both have blonde hair! As usual, this is impossible. Everyone knows this. But Volvo doesn’t know it.
The basic of automotive; you cannot introduce a vehicle which is positioned above the brand’s segmentation. Basically, VW cannot sell Phaëton because VW is a car brand with reasonable price with good quality and Phaëton is a luxury car aiming for Mercedes S Class. The product and the brand are contradicting in this condition. This also happened with Peugeot 607 which was trying to compete with Mercedes E Class. Renault Safrane failed also! Also Mercedes failed with Maybach!
There are many cases like this, if an automotive brand introduces a vehicle which is beyond its environment, it fails! Volvo S90 or S (I want to compete with S Class) will fail! Okay, in Chinese market some people will buy it but just some people. Still in China, people respect German cars more than domestic ones!
Will Volvo fail in future with this pointless car? Definitely YES! And they will lose lots of money and we can imagine the rest. Instead of introducing something with high risk, just upgrade the quality of your current products. They are not bad but they are not that good either!
There is one rule in automotive, you cannot compete with Mercedes S Class! BMW 7 Series still struggling but it is much better, Audi A8 has long time eat S Class’s market share. Jaguar XJ and Maserati Quattroporte are offering something different and they are not aiming to be the leader of this segment. So, this game is over for your Volvo.

BMW, my wife is not Heidi Klum !

BMW recently announced that 80 percentages of BMW 1 Series drivers think that 1 Series is a front wheel driven car! Vowww! This is a serious fact about drivers. They don’t interest on their cars. 80 percentage of driver has no idea what their car is. As a matter of fact, we can see that who is paying ridiculous amount of money to ridiculous cars!
Interesting fact with BMW, they have produced a front wheel driven car yet! BMW was the only company which is offering rear wheel drive in small hatchbacks. Even the Mercedes A Class is front wheel drive. I can assume that, 1 Series drivers did not look at their back seats! Why? Because, there is a small sized Everest on floor at the back. It is called shaft tunnel. All rear wheel drive cars have the small sized mountain at their back seats (between two seats). The shaft is moving along that tunnel to rear wheels.
OK, everyone is not interested on cars like me. I can understand but haven’t you notice that rear wheel have the traction. It can be felt on snow or rainy day. I don’t think that eighty percentage of 1 Series owners are living in desert. Anyway, this is a good feedback for BMW, which is planning to introduce Mini sized front wheel drive small car. And by this way, it will compete with its own brand; Mini! Audi will thank you for this decision ;)
Now, let’s come to Heidi Klum. I think you all know who she is! She is one of the most popular super model on earth. Tall, blond, charming. Actually these physical characteristics can be seen in many other girls. Heidi is not the only blond and tall person on earth. So, if eighty percentages of 1 Series owners think that their car is front wheel drive, because of its size. They can also think that their wife is Heidi Klum, if she is blond, tall and charming :)
