Improved McLaren MP4-12C at London Dealer

McLaren MP4-12C is the second car wholly designed and manufactured by McLaren after McLaren F1. MP4-12C does not have a very charming and marketing friendly model name but that’s the only drawback. MP4-12C is designed by Frank Stephenson and you can watch my interview with him about MP4-12C on YouTube.
Last week, I visited the McLaren’s London dealer in Knightsbridge, placed under the most expensive apartment One Hyde Park. Like the factory, McLaren dealer is designed with perfection. And they show the improved version of MP4-12C with a special colour, Kiwi Green.
This MP4-12C is no different than the previous one, actually only minor things have changed and except vehicle rise system and door button, the rest of the software upgrade can be applied to existing owners with no extra cost.
The revised MP4-12C has more power, 625 HP without any revision on engine or exhaust, just a new software. New gearbox software to improve gear shifts. There is a new lightweight wheel design. Software update on in-car entertainment system to improve sound system and experience.
Unfortunately, physical door button is not available to apply to existing vehicles due to technical issues. But, it is better than the touch sensitive button. And I was sure that, McLaren is going to replace iPhone style door opening system. It was too sensitive for adverse weather conditions. Another cleaver feature that cannot be applied is the rising vehicle for speed bumps and adverse road conditions. This is a must for fast cars!
And McLaren is going to keep developing the MP4-12C and offer these updates with no extra cost to existing owners. Because, McLaren is a Formula 1 company and each season the F1 car is developed all the time. Therefore, McLaren transferred this philosophy mass production road car, MP4-12C to reflect McLaren DNA.

More Powerful, Faster Bugatti Veyron: 1600 HP

Bugatti Veyron, Volkswagen Groups’s state-of-art lunatic car is going to have more power than ever according to WorldCarFans.com.
Bugatti is going to introduce 1600 HP Veyron based on an 8-lt or 9.6-lt engine with the top speed of 463 km/h and 1.8 seconds acceleration to 100 km/h. Moreover, Bugatti will be increase the amount of carbon fibre parts to reduce the weight up to 250 kg to achieve 1600 kg.
Why Bugatti is making a faster Veyron? The main reason is the image! Veyron has to be the most powerful mass production car on planet. And this reputation is going to be vanished by McLaren P1 and upcoming FerrariEnzo replacement. Both of these cars are capable of destroying Veyron’s reputation. And the basic solution to prevent this, introduce a more powerful version.
Price? Around €2 Million!

Chanel’s New Giant Handbag

Chanel recently revealed a new handbag during Paris Fashion Week; I mean if you define this object as hand bag you may define the new McLaren P1 as an UFO. Anyway, Chanel’s new hang bag is constructed inside a huge circle, which makes it extremely unergonomic to use. 
However, in fashion ergonomics are not matter of issues like in automotive. So, I wouldn’t be surprised if some people rush to this huge handbag and pay five-digit price tag without any hesitation. And it is designed by Karl Lagerfeld.

The Most Charismatic Car Designer: Frank Stephenson

McLaren recently revealed their super car P1 in Paris Motor Show last week. McLaren P1 is a true competitors of Bugatti Veyron by offering 963 PS of power by combining 3.8 V8 with KERS energy recovery system.

McLaren P1 is designed by Frank Stephenson, one of the most influential car design on earth. And while press was taking pictures of him, his charisma destroyed the sensors of the digital cameras and you can see the results :) So, this makes Frank Stephenson is the most charismatic car designer.

McLaren P1: Inspired by UFOs

McLaren P1 is revealed today, this is the car that will be competing with Bugatti Veyron. Today, many journalists wrote many things about McLaren P1, for that reason I don’t want to repeat the same words.
In my opinion, P1 looks amazing! P1 is one of the best-looking cars on market today and P1 is going to be an icon. McLaren P1 does share some design bits from MP4-12C but that is not a surprise. However, this similar design bits do not ruin the harmony of the P1. Actually, McLaren P1 looks like a stealth plane and UFO. That’s the first that came to my mind, when I saw the McLaren P1.
Moreover, the rear-end of the McLaren P1 looks better than its front-end. Especially the extremely thin brake lights definitely look fabulous at night.
I guess Frank Stephenson wanted to increase the power of the P1 by using the exhaust as propulsion system. When you look at the exhaust of the McLaren P1, you expect to see flames coming out.
McLaren P1 is going to have 963 PS of power by using 3.8-lt V8 engine and Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS), zero to 100 kph will be 2.8 seconds and top speed of 384 kph (239 mph).

McLaren’s Rival to Bugatti

McLaren is released a video of its new model for the Paris Motor Show. This new McLaren is targeted directly to Bugatti Veyron and replace the McLaren F1 model. Frank Stephenson told me about this car and also added, it will be a proper Veyron rival.
According to gossips, new McLaren will have 3.8-lt V8 engine with KERS energy saving system that leads to produce 963 PS of power, 2.8 seconds to reach 100 kph with the top speed of 384 kph (239 mph).

A New McLaren MP4-12C, X1 Concept

McLaren released pictures of an one-off model built by McLaren Special Operations and it is called X-1. X1 is a MP4-12C with a personalised unique design for a very respectful McLaren customers. X1 shares the same technical details with the MP4-12C but looks totally different.

During the design process, customers had a meeting with Frank Stephenson to discuss about the design. Also, customers asked cues from iconic cars from the past (1961 Facel Vega, 1953 Chrysler D’Elegance Ghia, 1959 Buick Electra, 1939 Mercedes-Benz 540K and 1971 Citroën SM).

McLaren MP4-12C Spider Photos

McLaren MP4-12C Spider is finally revealed. McLaren’s state of art sport car MP4-12C started the life as a coupe and recently a folding roof Spider version is released. In my opinion, the folding roof is a very cleaver idea and does not deform the harmony of the design of the MP4-12C.

Folding roof only adds 40 kg extra to weight, closes in less than 17 seconds and you operate it speeds up to 30 kph (19 mph). And price starts from £195,000

So, well done Frank :)
