Burberry is like a F1 Safety Car !

Burberry is one of the very well known British fashion brand and admired by many people. Burberry became a reflection of social status, reflection of life style. Some people cannot live without Burberry, it became a part of their body. However there are some people annoyed by seeing too much Burberry in every where. They say, Burberry lost its exclusivity by appearing too much. This is one of the Achilles’ heels in luxury; limit the production and keep it exclusive or satisfy the demand and lost the spirit. Burberry is like a light which signals in every condition and in everywhere; actually this is my idea, you may not agree with me.
Mercedes SL 63 AMG Formula1 Safety car is one of the coolest car for car enthusiast, it has everything we are looking for. It’s very powerful, upgraded suspension and brakes, it is bridling the F1 cars on circuit and it has amazing flashing lights all over the car. Of course, you cannot drive this car in daily condition with all these lights flashing. Even if you don’t open those flashing lights, you will catch all the attention, if you open those flashing lights, you will grab any kind of attention. So, it looks better on circuit.
Burberry is like safety car; it look very elegant and exquisite in fashion shows and on Mayfair, London. But when you see the store, all that spirit is disappearing! Burberry store in Istanbul, there are more than six Burberry is written all over the store, even on the side of stairs outside of the store. It is flashing like a safety car, I am here! May be for that reason, I could not like this brand ever. However; Paul Smith, Armani, Boss, Farhi, Kenzo or Bottega Veneta is not that flashing and catching my attention more. Of course, all these marketing strategies are targeting different target groups and have different goals. But will I ever drive SL63 AMG F1 Safety Car on street? I don’t think so!

The Highest Lamborghini

I am sure that some of you think that, this article is about Lamborghini’s new SUV or it is about the first sport SUV LM002. As the LM002 is the first sport SUV, Lamborghini likes to introduce new products to market. And until now, LM002 was the tallest Lamborghini ;)
Today while I was searching for Porsche Design shoes, I found out something very interesting! Lamborghini High Heels with carbon fibre heels. These shoes look like, Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera is exposed to radiation and turned into shoes. As you could see from the picture, they look same as Gallardo. And hopefully they are concept, this means you cannot buy them from stores. I am pretty sure that some ladies are sad with this news :)
From a different perspective; these shoes are reflecting Lamborghini design very accurately. But, from the other perspective (womens’ side), I have never met a woman who want to buy a Lamborghini High Heels! Properly there is no women exist who want to buy them. If they produce these shoes, most probably it will cost fortune and ladies could find better brands with better looking shoes with less handling :)
So, we could say that if you want to design a product to women; try to avoid carbon fibre and cars ;)
Superleggera means, super light. I am pretty sure that shoes are very light with their carbon fibre heels!
Important notice: My friend Gulgun liked this shoes and she told that “she could buy them”. So there is a demand Lamborghin, go produce it :)

The Coolest Porsche!

I know that, you were waiting for this. You get bored of Adidas Porsche Design shoes, they look the same! Here is the new era for Porsche Design and I am pretty sure that, you were looking for this ;)
The Porsche Design’s 2010 shoes collection. This season’s main difference is the manufacturer. They are not from Adidas; this time they are produced in Italy by a German company Muller & Meirer Lederwarenfabrik GmbH. Sounds a bit interesting, half Italian half German. It sounds like Lamborghini Murciélago, half German half Italian. The good thing is, like Panamera; Porsche Design extended its range to offer different tastes. I hope they won’t end these shoes production like they are planning to end Panamera in 2012.
Tokyo
Now there are four different models; Tokyo, Milano, New York and Berlin. For me the best looking ones is the Tokyo model. Unlike other Porsche Design shoes, it looks contemporary and elegant. Some of the Porsche Design shoes are too much sports and they cannot be worn in everywhere. However, this new collection broke that limit and you could wear your Porsche to anywhere at any time ;) That’s what I was looking for long time!

And one of the coolest thing about these shoes is their soles, the Porsche Design labelled metal part underneath the shoes looks are really nice!
Also Porsche Design offer new fragrance for your cars, hoppss sorry not for your car. That’s for you, you could have the Porsche smell all time. I really wonder, why someone wants to stinks like a car! Anyway, its bottle looks very nice. I could buy an empty fragrance, just for its bottle.

A proper reason to buy an iPhone

iPhone became more popular than anything on earth. I am sure that at least five of your friends have already an iPhone. Despite this popularity, it has a special feature “accelerometer”. This feature helps to measure g-force and 0-100km/h sprints.
I think iPhone’s this function emerged an idea in BMW’s HQ to connect car and phone. Of course, not for talking! BMW announced “BMW M Power” application, this application lets you to see your g-force, zero to hundred acceleration, distance travelled, lap time and more. As I don’t have an iPhone and BMW M Powered car, I could not use the software and express my experience :(
This is very good motivation to buy iPhone! And we need to find a BMW M car to connect the phone.
By the way, the movie played on BMW’s website had a synchronize problem. BMW X6 M was eating the corner very fastly and the iPhone was showing only 50km/h.

Top Gear, Gold Jacket :)

BBC Top Gear is the most very well known car programme on earth. And for last fourteen seasons, they made us laugh even the automotive business was sinking :) I really like the way they review the cars and most of the time, I agree with them. However, there is one such thing I won’t agree with them. That’s their sense of fashion :) I am not an expert on fashion but James May’s gold jakcet makes it clear that; listen their top tips for cars but they try their fasion style ;)

Mini Beachcomber is like open toe boots!

I have some doubts about the Mini’s product extension strategy. As the automotive industry is suffering serious problems and consumers are still not feel safe, therefore it may not be a good time to extend the product range. On the other hand, consumers’ obsessions with Mini emerged a question in my mind. Should Mini use it full potential and capture as much as market share? And avoid being exclusive! Being exclusive is one of the key elements of luxury goods suggested by J.N. Kapfrerer. As we could see from their concept models, Mini wants to capture every kind of consumers and move from niche to kitch!
Beachcomber model is promising “unique standard of driving pleasure” with no door, no top; actually nothing at all. As you could see from its chunky tyres, this is light weight SUV or in their term crossover, which you can off road “safely”. And when you wish to have extra safety (I think nobody is looking for that!) you just put the door into their places. They defined this as flexible protection!
I think while the designers discussing about this concept vehicles, they evaluate the world from a different perspective. From their concept vehicle, we could see that they suggested, there is no such a thing called accident and side impact. And door are fashion items on cars :)
When I see this concept crossover, I remembered one of my friend’s comment about contemporary boots in luxury brands. They are sold as boots but they have nothing to keep your feet warm. Of course, boots are not for winter, they are for summer! And from the same perpective, this concept vehicle is not offering anything to keep you warm inside.
I admire different design concepts but please be rational, who is going to buy a car with no doors! And how are you planning to pass from side impact crash test? As you don’t have proper doors. Yes, our target group will not push that hard with this car. Probably they won’t even crash or rollover ;)
One suggestion; when you buy this crossover or whatever it is, buy Givenchy open toe boots with them. They will definitely fit with each other :)

Sarah Jessica Parker is the coolest celebrity with car!

As I mentioned before celebrities are wishing to have some very unique cars. And they tend to ruin their car with unusual design tips!

However, Sarah Jessica Parker known as staring Carrie Bradshow from “Sex and the City”. She was spotted during the shooting of Sex and the City 2 movie with Mercedes E Cabrio. And she is totally unique! Why? Because, this is not on sale yet. You cannot buy it :) And she is driving.
Want to be different? Star on a movie and drive something which is not on sale ;)

Celebrity Car Drama

When you became celebrity, you should buy expensive luxury car. And this is something normal. However in some cases, the car is facing something unnormal! They mostly modify the car, change its colour and so on.
And even they modify Bentley to make it unique. Yes, Bentley is a very common on earth! And there is two examples; Kim Kardashian changed her Bentley Continental GTC’s design into something, which I have no idea. And Paris Hilton got her Bentley (the same with Kim’s) painted in pink. Both of the cars are piece of art!
And there is one more pink coloured car. That’s from Turkey. A new pop singer Kendi, got her Range Rover Sport painted in pink and left the most undesirable wheels on earth. I mean, why didn’t she order with a better wheels :)

Like people, cars have lucky and unlucky life!

Famous British fashion designer Stella McCartney announced to introduce leather free shoes. I am sure that some organizations will be satisfied with this decision and some of the ladies won’t!

Driving Shoes in Pink, recommended by GQ

There are plenty of different types of driving shoes on market. And they have typical style and typical colours which are not shocking! Now there is something different from Kurt Geiger’s Florio shoes and listed as 27. Best Thing in the World by GQ Magazine. And probably lots of people will rush into those shoes. But there is a small problem, their colours. It is starting from blue, brown, grey, navy, orange, pink, purple, red, yellow. Yes, they offer pink and puprle driving shoes!
The scenary will be very interesting, someone is coming out from Mercedes CL65 AMG which has lots of power to move the world and the driver has pink shoes by Kurt Geiger!
They should recommend the colours with cars. Pink for Nissan Micra drivers, Yellow for Yellow Ferrari owners ;)
